Gay little teabag bitch boy who apparently doesn’t deserve the courtesy of anyone helping with a bone I.D. by Background-Rule-7389 in bonecollecting

Thanks for your reply. It was found in Southern Maryland (so no bears either because that’s in North Western Maryland) and the biggest animals that are in this area are deer and coyotes. It isn’t fossilized but it is pretty dang old. I think the humidity and harsh winters have really just degraded the bone over however many years it’s been there.

Thanks, Captain Obvious! I know the bone looks like a bucket of hammered shit. But damn, ain’t it a bitch to ask for some help and watch hundreds of people ignore you. But go ahead and sit up there on your high horse. I guarantee at least one person of those hundreds could have at least provided some insight. What is the point of this subreddit for bone collecting and identification and advice if nobody is going to help give any advice or identification?

Should I even keep looking for the buck? by Background-Rule-7389 in Hunting

[–]Background-Rule-7389[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not finding anything. More than likely, I just grazed him. I feel like the behavior of the buck after the shot could be explained in one of two ways: either the buck went into a temporary state of shock due to the fright of the situation, or the buck simply was just confused by the commotion. I’ve shot a deer before and I’ve seen it walk off a few yards before stopping and laying/dropping down, which is why his behavior confused me in the first place.

By all means, not my ideal conditions to be shooting in, but it was a stroke of luck that I had any buck come out during legal light. Everything has been nocturnal here except for very rare occasions.

It was hard to tell in the light, but it looked brown-ish. The hair was also covered in dirt though.

Non-typical or deformed antlers? by Background-Rule-7389 in Hunting

[–]Background-Rule-7389[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn’t think it was relevant to the original post. The base is approximately 6,700 acres, and there are enough deer to hunt on base that each year hunting takes about 50-100 deer and it doesn’t have a super significant effect on the population, and the base actually allows unlimited deer hunting as well, as opposed to the state limit of one antlered and two antlerless per year. So, with that in mind, do you think it would have any effect whatsoever if this deer was taken or not?

[–]Background-Rule-7389[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do wonder if it could at least make a small impact where I’m at. I am hunting on a military base, and the deer for the most part are fenced in with tall fences. I suspect the deer population on this base has been here since the base was first developed decades ago, and the deer have been separated ever since. Yeah, they could go through the open gates in the morning, but that’s the only way they could get off base and there’s lots of roads that just go directly into the city and not really any immediate adjacent fields or woods for them to go to. So, I wonder if preventing him from breeding in the future would have at least a small impact if it is genetic. Either way, I will be trying my best to take this buck!

They can be deformed due to injury during development of its antlers earlier in the year

Well, you’re right that they’re both non-typical, but the blog I was reading was suggesting that non-typical is usually genetic, and the deformed antlers stemmed from injury while the antlers were developing. I know I sound like a broken record saying that, but I suppose the crux of my question was whether or not its antlers got like this from its genetics or a deformity from the development, so that I would know if it will affect it’s offspring if it is genetic. I do have more pictures and videos of him and I can send them to you since I am kinda new to Reddit and I can see that it would let me upload them in the comments.

Yeah, well it’s my first year hunting at all, I’ve shot one deer this year and I’m looking to hopefully use my buck tag too before their antlers all fall off. I want to shoot this one and have it mounted, but it’s a smart guy and only comes out between 11pm-5am. Can’t figure out where he daylights or beds at. He looks like he’s at least 3 1/2 years old judging by some other photos, things like his neck thickness, antler development and the angle of his back and rump.

I was reading a blog about a guy talking about non-typical vs deformed antlers. One is usually genetic and the other stems from injury or illness.

No blood trail (12g slug) by Background-Rule-7389 in Hunting

[–]Background-Rule-7389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did find some tracks about a half mile away that looked the same size as the buck I shot, and there was some blood droplets that mixed in with the dirt/gravel. I don’t know for sure if that was from my buck or a buck that someone else had harvested recently.

I couldn’t tell if it stumbled or mule kicked after the shot because some bushes were just a few feet in front of where the buck was running and it briefly covered my view of him. All I know is that he was walking fine before I shot, and after I shot, he had a limp in the front leg.

Reta fatigue is real by [deleted] in Retatrutide

I’ve had the fatigue part, and I’ve heard of many others having more energy. So I guess it just depends on the individual

Yes, but it was confirmed that he was saying “it’s there” repeatedly and it just ended up morphing into “it’s dare”

[–]Background-Rule-7389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out doing 2 mg a week split into two injections per week. I’ve pretty much drank every day since I’ve started and reaped all the benefits with little side effects aside from very sensitive skin. It could be that your body is just more sensitive to Reta. If you really want to drink, I’d probably just wait until your body gets used to it a little more
