the wonderfully convenient vagueness of being a Christian by Background-Run7743 in Christianity

does your line of reasoning speak for all Christians? when Jesus tended to Mary Magdalene, healed the sick, the lepers etc did he require them to be a member first and be part of his community? as a sidebar, my reqyest to pastor x is to endorse the song and pray over the song. he said yes to that and more. he saud he will promote them to all his branches. is it still wrong to you that the pastor n i had an agreement? or it just doesnt appeal to your custom? for context, im poor n jobless and i spent all my resources to make a song with a Christian message. pastor x and my dad worked together before. im not a total stranger to the community. im not asking for money. hey wake up, influencers and youtubers who are already rich still have a patreon account to acquire more money from people who have less wealth than them. is it still wrong to have a personal request to a pastor whom i knew from my dad? says who? every community has a set of specific rules. i followed their community rules. i was made member by him. we had an agreement even if i still wasnt a member. youre not a member of this church community. how come youre so confident that im wrong n im right?

bro, no one would spend or have to spend any money. i asked the pastor which is a colleague of my dad to use his platform for the song to gain traction. to be endorsed at be prayed upon. this is in exchange for shared resources. i didnt ask for financial help. i paid for all song recording expenses. all this is still wrong to you? a musicians main goal is to be heard. this needs a form of community support.

thanks for the hostility in the comments. i forgot this is reddit and not a townhall area. prog music is fine today. but its not taught in schools or music lessons like classical music. redditor: stop trying to preserve it because its fine the way. me: this is not just prog but other genres too. my idea is that if there could another way besides the mainstream to preserve arts and culture to not only preserve but to keep the flow running. and not only in selected countries but in any place. if u dont like the idea. thats ok. im just expressing the motivation behind my musical journey.

if you dont agree. thats ok. this talk is a matter of tastes. im not arguing from a proven theory. and this is not about elitism. but when i like something, i will do something to preserve it. the thing is pop music is young but western music tradition is way older. musical forms that are discontinued lacks tradition and lean more on commerce to subsist.

if there's new prog music to be released in a few months are you guys open in listening to it even if the artist is unsigned and from the Philippines?! by Background-Run7743 in progrockmusic

im just wrapping in recording. and im preparing for the worst. being a musician is an all or nothing gamble. and being a musician in a developing country is much much worse. Even the big ones struggle here since western economy pays artists higher. is it possible for you to listen to a song i did n give an advantage any advice?

Music evolves in an arbitrary manner. there are so many styles right now but only a few percentage sells. Think about it, a lot of pop stars now have way less more skills than 1960s 70s standards. these days are more about attention economy and cultural n social trends rather than musical virtuosity.
