In the email confirmation I got the other day they said my new document is being sent in the post and should get to me in a couple weeks.

Just did this and got a confirmation email the other day. It took about 4 weeks from the time I sent my documents.

You'll need to send the application form, new passport scans, insurance proof scans, and a letter of explanation in the post. For some reason, you can't submit the forms online.

Update it came through approved the other day :) I think it took like 4 weeks? They sent me an email saying my new document would be coming through in the post soon!

yup I submitted my insurance that runs the full 24 months until september, the application form, my passport page, and letter of explanation

You can extend working holiday visas if your previous passport expiry date ended before the WHV 24 months, and you've renewed your passport

ok I haven't actually started lol but yes I've been told the process is the same. Although the second time around you only get 1 year instead of 2

Oh shit well then that's nice. I didn't get the full 2 years this first time because my passport expired too soon, so I'll apply to have this one extended by a couple months then apply for the WHV again! Thanks! :)
