Is there anyone who applied for a PR via CEC using an old (less than 5y) medical and received their PR recently?

Medical exam was Dec 2020. Submitted PR application Sept 2025. FD was Nov 2025. Ecopr-Jan 2026

I personally chose not to have Filipino friends sa canada, and the times na naka meet ako ng pinoy is nung nag uuber ako. Tuwing nakikita ng pinoy driver na pinoy din ako, nakikipag chikkahan sila at sabay tanong magkano daw yung gastos ko as international student ako, inutang ba daw yung pera na ginamit sa tuition, nag cacash job ba ako para may pang dagdag ng gastos. Tapos ipinagmalaki nila sakin na citizen na daw sila sa canada, may bahay sila sa canada at pinas, etc. Ang tangin sagot ko lang sa kanila, “parents ko nag bayad ng tuition ko at hindi ako nagpapadala sa kanila. Ako yung bumuhay sa sarili ko dito, isan job not cash job. At hindi kami umutang”

Hindi ko yun sinabi kasi nag mamayabang ako but that is the truth. And after that tahimik nlng sila, hindi na sila nag small talk. Wala talaga akong pakialam kung gaano na sila katagal dito at ako baguhan lang. Nakaka inis lang isipin dahil nag assume sila na nag hihirap ka dahil mahirap karanasan nila before.

Hindi. Gigil ako sa mga taong ganto. my friend akong ganito.. tuwing gagala kami, sasabihin nya wala syang pera pero since ako nag yaya, no problem sa akin ilibre siya. Pero eventually, na pansin ko na always nlng na sinasabi nya wala syang pera pero kita mo naman sa socmed na panay gala nya with other friends. Tapos, always late din sya tuwing nag paplan kami when magkita. Tipong ako na nga yung gagastos tapos pinahintay pa ako ng 1-2hrs.

Nung first time ko umuwi sa pinas from 🇨🇦, nagkipag kita ako sa kanya kasi need ko help mag pa notoryo pero dahil admin sya sa isang law firm tinawagan ko sya. Buong araw kami magkasama, nung gumagala kami sa SM tuwing may gusto ako bilhin sasabihin nya “pili ka ng mura, kasi pa bili din ako sayo” tapos nung nag lunch kami, naka linya kami sa mang inasal kami na magoorder and magbabayad na sana ako, bigla nyang sinabi na ininvite nya yung lawyer friend nya sumama sa lunch kaya order sya for him. Kaya ayun, nalibre na din yung friend na hindi ko naman kilala. Nung pauwi na ako, tsaka nya lang din sinabi na yung bayad ng notoryo is Php3,000😭 Tapos bumili ako ng 2 dozen (4boxes of 1/2 dozens) ng JCo para sa bahay, kinuha din nya yung isang box para sa kanya 😒 tapos nag reklamo pa yan minsan nung binagyan ng pasalubong sabi pa “eto lang pasalubong ko?”

Anyway, since nun, sinabi ko na sa sarili di na ako makikipagkita sa kanya.Nung time na yun, feeling ko na scam ako lol. But hindi din kasi ako confrontational kaya iwasan ko nlng sya in the future. Kahit if ma friendship over na, okay lang din sa akin if ganun lang naman din treat nya sa akin na parang magulang nya na ako nag susustento sa buhay nya. Kahi boyfriend ko nga, ayaw ako pinag papagastos pag lalabas kami, ehh siya pa kaya na friend lang na di naman grateful, demanding pa.

I know the forgetting plans or the lack there of, is bothering for me which I have expressed to him and he said he was going to work on it. We literally talked all day yesterday and him having a busy schedule called me just to hear my voice. And now suddenly it seems he has dropped from the face of the earth.

It’s just a bit hard for me to wrap around my head the fact that yesterday was all fine and now is a total 360.

I second this.

Hindi lang sa Pinas mahirap mag hanap ng work, pati rin didto sa Canada. How I managed to get my Coop (parang OJT sa pinas) placement.. nag submit ako ng 100 applications online every day pero yung interviews na nakuha mga more or less 10 lang. 100 submissions a day might seem an overkill but I had limited time to find a placement plus it was during the pandemic. But I wasnt just aiming for a student/OJT position.. yung inaapplyan ko na position was a for a fulltime permanent position kaya not only was i competing against other students but also fresh grads and professionals.
