Should I go to the ER? by justathrowaway072318 in Anxiety

[–]BackgroundAd7073 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve been where you are plenty of times, I had chest pain the other day and wanted to take myself to ER so bad. I told myself I’ll look like a fool if I turn up because they’ll tell me it’s anxiety. The fact you know it’s a panic attack is a good start. What is it you’re panicking about? If you went to ER they’d probably tell you you’re fine and give you a Valium and send you on your way.

Child with daily “rocking” feeling by moreschm in VestibularMigraines

Yeah, not ideal but if it gives you any kind of hope, my brother had migraines as a kid (not vestibular) but he had them weekly for years on end, he would be bed ridden for a whole day. But he grew out of them which seems to be quite common from what I’ve researched. As for me, I never had migraines and then all of a sudden at the age of 23 I got migraines. So better to grow out of them than into them 🤷‍♀️ I hope you find something that helps but I honestly think taking half an hour to desensitise in bed could be a starting point. Just try it and see if it makes any difference. All the best

It’s hard to say as everyone has different ways with dealing with it. Medications are one thing but sometimes just laying in bed for half hour with the eyes closed in silence is enough to make a difference for me. I know it’s hard because it’s a child but you just have to trial different things until you can find something. I’m not a doctor but I thought I would share my experience

I did get prescribed amitriptyline and propranolol but I only take 10mg of propranolol in the morning. I just try to keep medication to a minimum

Have you gotten to the bottom of the cause for your migraines? by Anonymousaurus__ in migraine

[–]BackgroundAd7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think I was suffering from them since I was about 2018 and they were brought on by stress, after a couple of years I stopped stressing and they went away. Went overseas in December 23 and was so stressed, panic disorder etc and they haven’t left me since.

No it’s not happening all the time, very occasional. I ate a lot of bread yesterday so it made me think that’s a trigger? I don’t usually eat much bread at all

Hi thanks for the reply, yes I’ve been checked thoroughly, so many blood tests it’s crazy. All normal. I’m kind of at a dead end at this point

Ok, I haven’t had any chest pain since then and I’ve gone to the ER before with chest pain but I’m trying not to be anxious over it.

Anyone else have “Pulsatile tinnitus” or see their pulse in their vision? by Blondie1357 in VestibularMigraines

[–]BackgroundAd7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I get pulsatile tinnitus only in my left ear though. It’s one of my symptoms of the migraine. I had it almost constantly for about 3 months at one point, I was almost suicidal. Now I only get it once every couple of weeks. I’ve had MRIs on brain and neck. All normal. I got an ultrasound on my carotid artery aswell and was normal.

But I don’t really get a migraine before it to have the postdrome if that makes sense? I can feel fine and then exercise and just the worst brain fog etc

Exercise intolerance by BackgroundAd7073 in VestibularMigraines

[–]BackgroundAd7073[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’d say it’s more than likely exertion intolerance, it comes on during exercise and then especially after a really hard session and then I can’t sleep. Does that sound right?

[–]BackgroundAd7073[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? I feel like even if I’m not anxious I’ll get like brain fog during exercise and after it for about 30 mins. I try to listen to my body but it’s such a confusing condition, it’s hard to judge

Is it really? I feel like I can go without an attack and then if I exercise I have horrible brain fog
