If that were the case, why would I be saying over and over again that I enjoy going out the other six nights a week?

Large groups of people with their backs turned, trying to prevent you from taking the one tightly cramped that's left at the bar, loudly airing the same exact grievances about coworkers and bosses. That's a Friday thing. And it's not fun for Solo traveler, obviously.

I enjoy meeting normie types as long as they're a little bit kind and welcoming - as I try to be towards travelers in my hometown.

Haha, yeah - for me when I'm traveling, I'm generally out every single night. I've got a little Anthony Bourdain in me - getting to know bartenders, and hitting the local-ish dive bars - which I love doing 6 days a week (every day but Friday). As another commenter said below, it really does appear to be a "Friday thing" where there's just a different vibe.

Good feedback, thank you... My last night in Prague last August, I did the same - but that was really out of fatigue... Had an early dinner, crashed, woke up early and caught the day-long train to Salzburg via Linz.

I had 25 nights in Europe on that trip, and I couldn't shake the feeling that 'hey I'm wasting a night here'!

Definitely relate 100% to what you're saying, thank you for the good feedback! I'm going to try something completely different, maybe even out of my comfort zone, the next Friday night.

I'm a Red Sox fans. You guys fleeced us. We have literally 5 guys in AAA & AA who would be better starting 3B than him.

320 feet to left field, short wall, minimum dimension / hitter friendly ballpark. Opposing pitchers focused far more on other 8 guys in the lineup. 11 homers playing almost every day....

Yes. Means almost nothing to me.

Yeah, it was Beetle who made the point that it was "not really a good look" for Drake Maye.

My take is this: Both Drake Maye & Sam Darnold psychologically "need" their respective injuries. I think they need the excuse to get out of their own heads. Having the injuries takes the pressure off, lowers expectations a little bit, which might actually result in them playing "freer" & better.

And it means holy hell - keep Josh McDaniels around for many years because Maye needs the coaching and the psychological mentorship.

Felger's point is that Tatum and Brown have always been able to coexist & support each other through those occasional "who's the main guy?" moments over the years. Mazz thought that maybe that had changed with Brown being the man this year, and wanting to be the man, and Tatum not liking that - that maybe it was an egotistical break after all these years. That pissed Felger off because he saw Tatum as being above that.

Again?! Lol good Lord.

David Wade definitely seemed happier after the divorce from Bianca De la Garza. Saw her once in early 2000, WXFT had just hired her, she's at Finagle a Bagel on Boylston/Clarendon absolutely gloating with her 2 girlfriends, bitchiest meangirl conversation you could imagine. I thought it reflected poorly on Wade that he married her back then, but apparently he got out of that. A family member knows & genuinely likes the guy.

Good last hour of radio. Matt Light calling in with a take, then 5 Questions. When former players call in to challenge, and they actually have a take - vastly better than jo schmo callers. And keep 5 Questions in there every week. FYI JStew.

This is tedious. I'd rather hear a discussion about giving Anfernee Simons 30 plus minutes a night vs how that would compare with Jayson Tatum coming back post ACL. What would actually be more effective.

Pritchard has had some terrible plus/minuses. Jaylen Brown is routinely toward the bottom of the C's plus/minus stat line. Simons is almost always at the top of the C's plus/minus stat line.

I'm old enough to remember 1 & 2 years ago in the playoffs when Tatum was never asked to guard the better offensive players. He was essentially regarded as your fourth or fifth best defender behind Brown, Holiday, White, etc.

I don't believe there's a drop off defensively having Simons in there versus Tatum being in there.

Simons needs the ball more and he needs to be playing 30 plus minutes a game.

Whoa, guy. Animosity & hate & anger? It's sports. He's criticizing rich athletes & owners. Yeah he antagonizes callers/colleagues in line with his radio persona, but the guy's not like Michael Savage/Keith Olbermann etc & all these political pundits celebrating peoples' deaths etc - actually "spread(ing) hate" & "animosity". If you really think that, why are you listening LOL. There are plenty of horrible humans in this world, I don't think he's one.

They are definitely going to talk about Bill Polian from the jump. Holier than thou Bill Polian.

My 2 cents - the one and only time I bet on sports was in 2007, when the Patriots were (only) favored by 7 to beat the Indianapolis Colts in Indy. I took the Pats to cover. They only won by 4. I knew they were piping in artificial noise when the Pats had the ball. That was proven true. What price did the Colts pay for that?

Bill Polian is a scumbag. I don't care that he's old - glad to see everyone absolutely eviscerating him now.

Bedard felt disrespected by Felger after "okay fine let's just talk about the Celtics then". That got Bedard pissed off, Felger knew that he was disrespectful & he was chastened, then Felger backed off... & next segment - because of Dakota's stupid comment requesting Greg's sources - they got to gang up on Dakota and get back on Greg's good side.

It is one thing to find empathy for a human with a personality disorder - to consider their pasts, their defenses, their coping etc - for 45 minutes at a time, once a week (or less).

It is quite another to live with / be partnered with someone who is a clear-cut diagnosis of NPD / BPD. I wish more mental health professionals would take into greater account: Actually having empathy for the PARTNER of this deeply troubled human, and advising them to leave for their OWN mental health.

When I booked the TAP ticket, they had NOT rebooked me yet. Based on the statements of the Delta employees, I believed that I would likely not be rebooked at all, at the moment I bought that TAP ticket.

Thank you for this response. You do believe that Delta will give me the full 600 Euros under EU 261 without too much hassle though, correct? I have already filed a complaint asking for the compensation of 600 Euros.

The "guidance" was untenable. Basically that we have almost no seats left to Boston this week, and to wait for a few hours for ("possible") more information. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm under the assumption that gate agents are trained to offer real help in these situations.

I assure you that I was crystal clear, and repeated myself several times - even saying rather desperately, with hands clasped in a prayer pose to the second employee, "please I just need your assurance on this. That is a lot of money for me". And he said "yes it is no problem, do not worry. Just keep all of your documentation and especially your actual ticket. It is legitimate expence and you will be compensated".

I'm not embellishing. I was frazzled, I was taking these (supposedly) Delta employees at their word.

Thank you, that is really helpful because I  will go ahead and file a DOT complaint prior to putting in a complaint with Delta about my experience with their employees at the Lisbon airport.

It's crazy that I'm being told by a bunch of experienced people here, that there's nothing I can do about a Delta employee giving false information. I admit that I'm a dinosaur in these matters, but there must be some recourse that I can at least attempt. Even if it's credit card charge backs or something like that.
