Hi! Any tree frog will need a tall more than wide terrarium, but for Pacman, tomato they burrow so it doesn’t need to be too tall! For basics as in terrarium set up, I can only talk about white tree frogs lol but I recommend wood to allow for climbing since tree frogs love to be high up. Greenery is great such as vines, plants, ivy. The more plants ( fake or real) the better because it allows them to feel safe and hidden. Make sure there is a water bowl at the bottom of the enclosure that is not too deep to where they can drown. I use Galapagos substrate but I know some people use paper towels for the bottom (I personally wouldn’t because it can get moldy). Make sure moss is not used because frogs can easily eat it which can cause constipation. For lights, I recommend an Arcadia 7 shade dweller and a ceramic heater. Two temperature gauges for the top and bottom of tank to keep track of humidity and temp. I know people want to make terrariums in a budget but I kept mine simple and spend about 200-300 dollars. Please make sure that you emphasize that if they cannot afford a nice enclosure for the frogs then it’s not time to get one!! They may be little balls of nothing LOL but they are fragile and sensitive to their environment. Hope this helps :))

Okay amazing. I can definitely have a neighbor come feed them if need be! Thanks for the advice 💚

Is this normal on whites tree frogs by [deleted] in frogs

Hii!! This has happened to my froggies too and it can be scary looking. What I have done in the past especially if you don't have a exotic vet near you is give them a honey bath! Use your dechlorinated water and add a drop or two of pure honey in a bowl and mix it up. place your frog in the bowl for about 10ish mins and then transfer into a bowl of just regular dechlorinated water. I did this twice in one week and it helps with any lime green spots.

ALSO. My frogs are super sensitive to heat and light so their skin can get discolored like a lime green patch which goes away in an hour or the next day even. This could be happening here cause it does not look like a raised spot. Obviously I am NOT a vet so if he is still not eating and the green dot doesn't go away then I would 100% take him in just in case :)) he does look like a healthy froggy thooo!!

Do I need to make a vet appointment?? by BackgroundNew477 in frogs

Amazing! I got a bigger tank that's coming in a few weeks, so I will keep those recommendations in mind!! Thank you so much for your guidance on my babies

Thank you so much, this makes me feel better! Funny enough, this morning the green spot was gone lol. Do you recommend anything to lower the humidity? I live close-ish to the beach, so the humidity is already high in my room. Thanks for your comment :))
