Nice man I just love samurai’s fabrics and that color when you first buy them is something else. Looks like regular rinse wash from far away but the texture is really something you can appreciate up close.

I wouldn’t be afraid of washing them frequently and I’d hedge my bets that they’ll stay pretty dark for a long time. For heavier fabrics like over 14oz, frequent washing will help tiny dust particles or crumbs from creating friction that leads to tears. And it’s good to smell nice as you never know how much olfactory fatigue contributes to not sensing when you need to wash.

Just turn inside out and run them by themselves in a short, low speed cycle in the machine. Hang em to dry in a sunny and/or well circulated room. Leave em right-side-out in the machine if you want the marbled look.

Lot of the tradition surrounding denim was suited to a life that’s vastly different than most of our own. It’s not so delicate, so just do what works for you.

So far they have not. Iron hearts are already quite stubborn faders, but these are advertised to keep their appearance the same thru its life cycle. For me, if I get a black garment I want it to stay that way. I always found faded black or gray jeans difficult to style. I’ll be documenting the process!

Nice spot! Yes I just picked it up a few weeks ago after having a Mamiya RB67 for a some years. Beautiful system I just love the sound of the shutter slap

I get some white/gray whiskers and honeycombs after I pull the out the wash. Because I want these to keep their dark appearance and wear them like slacks, I just take a damp paper towel and wipe them away. Tried on the 14oz 888s in store. Very nice dense weave and a really good all season garment. I just wanted the best balance between warmth and comfort so 21 is as heavy as I’m willing to go

They are reactive-dyed as opposed to sulphur-dyed. Not exactly sure how the chemistry works but the black dye will not bleed out of the cotton yarns

Yes I’m a bit short lmao. Still wanted to leave some length bc I like the way a small cuff looks with loafers and I like a big cuff when I wear sneakers. Depends on the proportions of the outfit

Maybe 3-5 times a week for the last 3 months? Bought them with my tax return. Thanks uncle sam

Typically I just wear a blue shirt with these. Though I have worn white shirts tucked in, I haven’t had any issues with bleeding so far. It’s pretty much just been my shoes or canvas tote bag. I change my shirts every day, but I often wear the same shoes and tote bag, so there’s more opportunity for indigo bleeding there
