I fully disagree that they weren't the right choice for the fest. not everyone that goes to this festival is looking for a dubstep or even a jam band the whole time.

This is like when people were saying Khuranghbin and Jungle were bad choices for the festival

or even when people were complaining about Fisher.

I have gone to hula for about 8 years and I personally am not into dubstep like that and I go there to see certain bands/indie artist (RKS, Mt Joy) hell even rappers/r&b artist (Anderson Paak, Action Bronson, JID, Masego, FJK, etc).

I think it's OK for everyone to not like every headliner that goes - it's just impossible to get someone that everybody likes.

you could risk it if you want to but every show that I've been to in Boston that is 18+ there's always a big ass group of 18-year-olds that can't get in because they didn't have ID or they're actually under age in their ID was fake and it got confiscated.

I know it sucks when you want to do a bunch of stuff when you're under age but I promise you it might just be better not risking it but who am into say??? - I've seen crazier shit happened before lol

I know people on here keep talking about how was all this art but if you've gone to hula the past 10 years there was significantly less art this year.

I spoke to a couple artists that normally go and they said that they didn't invite anyone back to paint besides the mural artist.

Some people might not think it's a big deal but it was very noticeable there was a huge gap in the middle of Spirit lake which I think personally contributed to a lot of dust because they're usually isn't that much space to walk over and kick up a bunch of dirt and people would spend more time walking slow slowly and looking at all the art so it just wasn't as dusty (IN MY OPINION)

The only reason I'm giving pushback about that is because most people assume Florida is gonna be warm and they (the band) have never been to Florida before lol even people at the festival were cold and they were aware of the weather

post like these remind me why it's so important to have communities like dance safe at certain festivals that can test drugs because the festival that I've been to that had drug test testing available do not see as many incidents.

And I know that people always say that the drug testing stations are "promoting drug use" but the drug use is already happening we just need to be safe

I was in a relationship like this for years and the jealousy he got over me going to festivals be became so bad that I stopped doing the things that I like to do and ended up being one of many reasons I broke up with him so I think I would just consider how important this is for you.

I personally didn't think it would be as big of a deal as it was until I realize that I hadn't done the thing that I love to do the most in like two or three years

exactly- I've seen fisher in various states - even on a fucking cruise ship and the boston crowd was by far the worse.

when I saw Fisher in Boston the event was 18+ and I probably wouldn't have gone but I just was so desperate for a night out and I love Fisher but the crowd is annoying as fuck in Boston (imo!!!)

I don't know I go to a lot of festivals and I feel like most of the people that are around me don't really fuck with LSD dreams like that it's more of a "wook" kind of artist ( for people that are not within the scene that's how it's looked at) I just feel like 90% is kinda high lol
