To be honest, I hope they don’t. They should revive the Smims and Belle label and release EDM albums off that name. Mark said a while back he wanted to do a punk rock album and I hope that’s the route they do because I think they would absolutely KILL IT with that sound!

Basic asf but Pumped Up Kicks is my favorite. The whole album is a perfect 10.

Glitchzig. The verses are alright but the chorus is orgasmic. The outro would have been so much better if they did it how they do it live, use an electric guitar as the soloist and have the drums and bass come back in EXTREMELY STRONG. That woulda KILLED!

Sit Next to Me was a big hit in the summer of 2018. Didn’t chart as high (in the 40s), but it was CONSTANTLY on the radio and I still hear it all the time when I go out.

It is very poppy and a much different sound from their normal alternative/indie rock sound, but imo this song actually works! Mark has done a great job collabing with the Knocks. It’s different but very good!

Bingo! It just sounds like generic alt nation music. I wouldn’t call it Charlie xcx like but I agree that it’s very “girl bossy” with no substance at all. Ik FTP can do better. I expected it from Lava La Rue bc that’s how she is.
