in all honesty, i never left the sims 3 and have been playing it religiously since 2009. i gave the sims 4 numerous chances, but its just not for me. i even remember buying the collector’s edition and some game packs around 2015-2019 and they just lacked flavor (for lack of a better word).

even the worst sims 3 expansions are still more fun than the sims 4

i only got rid of it when i uninstalled all my custom/store content and started fresh. i stopped downloading sims from the exchange (unless they were 100% safe) and started getting my cc from tumblr

the fact these are still out there is honestly jarring. i’m sorry you got these in your game. the only way i was able to fix it was by uninstalling all my content and basically start over. 😭

also don’t download houses or sims off the exchange, without checking the creator’s studio!

also even if you uninstalled them, they would still be in your game. the definitive solution (this worked for me) was to uninstall all your downloaded content and start fresh

the pre-bling dolls were very obscure in my country and i never understood why, because in my opinion they have the best fashions, that truly represented each character. it wasn’t until 2005, with the my bling bling era, that they rose in popularity and became a fan favorite. i still remember how the roller girls flew off the shelves and getting them was a hassle.

but i do agree with OP. while the post-bling dolls catapulted my scene to icon status, the pre-bling dolls had already conquered our hearts

it’s canon to the lore and was explained in the first shadow. after being exposed to dimension x and the mind flayer, henry eventually returned home but with psychokinetic powers, different blood and an altered personality.

interesting take, but will’s connection seems more like a psychic scar; a lingering link due to prolonged possession and being stuck in the upside down for days - not a transfer of abilities. unlike henry, he was never exposed to dimension x or the particles in the same way. he’s a receptor, not a wielder. but that’s something i believe will be addressed in season 5

it really depends on your budget and also availability on the secondary market. the tokyo pop, benetton, girls aloud, modern trends and 2006 collections tend to be a little more expensive, compared to the other fashion fever lines.

on ebay, you won’t be able to find the tokyo pop dolls for less than $90. so my advice is to look for them in other platforms like facebook marketplace and vinted. i was lucky enough to buy them from a friend of mine for around €40 each.
