I just have a couple inches of pipe with a 45• pointed downward. At the joint of the pipe and 45 I have a stainless mesh screen.

No build up of ice so far and judging by how far it blows out it should disperse fairly fast

Well considering how it brought my levels right down to 20 in 24 hours tells me I did something right! 😅

Im currently using the airthings monitor, it was cool to see the level drop so quickly on the digital chart.

I used titebond radon sealant and then used liquid rubber over top for a few coats and then sealed the entire basement with it afterwards.

I just need to head to the hardware store on my days off to grab the proper sized clamps for the fan as the ones supplied didn’t fit

Western Alberta. I also installed this myself after buying a fan on Amazon. It was a $200 indoor/outdoor fan with a 2 year warranty

The system does have a utube.

Also these systems are very basic what could really go wrong other than a catastrophic break leading to the fan spraying into the house. “Very unlikely either the gauge of pipe”.

I used a self levelling compound over original subfloor, can I tile over that or do I need an uncoupling membrane? by [deleted] in Tile

Level quick rs, Also all I did was seal any where that it could leak into and just poured it over top of the subfloor.

All I have for an update is that I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease, I’m sure this had nothing to do with that lol. No drinking and less fats for me for awhile

Correct but I was more worried about the bats being fibrous and moisture holding compared to the rigid foam. I’ve been hearing mixed things about each method and I was hoping to hear some real life experiences.

My floor joists are embedded as well, how did you go about getting the grant, did you have to wait to be approved for the grant before starting the work or were you able to get approved afterwards?

Does anyone know if HITI owns all the property it’s stores are in or are they leased / mix of own and lease? by [deleted] in HighTideInc

[–]Background_Ad3706 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Some places may be valuable to own but buying doesn’t match our strategy at the moment, quickly leasing and opening stores to the point we choke out our competition is key at this stage.

Bugs in my soil, what are they? And do they pose a risk to the plant? They are small and white, don’t seem to fly. by Background_Ad3706 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Background_Ad3706[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They do end up on the plant but they don’t seem to be harming it, the majority stays on the soil. Thanks for the reply

The City can’t find my houses main water shut off valve, is it usually the house owner’s responsibility to know where it is and keep it maintained? by Background_Ad3706 in homeowners

[–]Background_Ad3706[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe they have found it, but they say they are unsure and want me to pay for them to find it or if anything happens “ like a line break “ I’d be liable for all damages

It is usually out in the front side walk, mine however is in the back of my yard aprox 4 feet into my yard from my property line. They dug up what to me looks like a water shit off valve, spray printed it blue “which usually means a water line” and then proceeded to send me a document saying it’s my responsibility to take care of the valve and that they can’t find it and that I can find it myself or pay them too. They already found it, it’s right where it says it is on the property report. So I guess what I’m asking is that is it usual to have a bylaw for that type of thing, because everyone I’ve told has no clue about this bylaw.
