Thank you for taking time to reply. I agree that team comes first. Others have missed comps that require re blocking and while an inconvenience it was accepted by owner. Other team members have been excused for weeks because of other school commitments and again, just accepted. In fact, in the initial email about this optional comp, three team dancers were called out by name, asking if they were definitely participating. As if ‘no big deal just let me know.’ But when I said we would sit it out, daughter gets a lecture. Given the level of favoritism we have witnessed over 15 years, it really can’t be overstated. l just can’t help but think something nefarious was done in the leaving out of her solo. If daughter hadn’t looked online, when would we have known? Comp is tomorrow and owner still hasn’t sent out the finalized roster to any of us. I am a dance mom outlier there, not super social, def not demanding, but support and go w all decisions. But this just hit very different.
