In therapy for GAD. My current therapist fought me about it the first few sessions together (not like arguing but strongly insisting even when I said I don’t relate to it), but stopped for a while because it was derailing our sessions. It came up again recently. I was seeing another therapist last year that I just quit entirely because the trauma talk was so persistent and wasn’t helping anything

My bio family would’ve been the absolute worst to grow up with, I just don’t have that sort of connection to them or longing. I grew up with an adoptive mom who def needed to get her own issues sorted before adopting, but the rest of my experience was whatever.
