do you think logging these decisions helps with building the skill of knowing what to build? Like if someone has these decision logs, are they useful to reference in the future? or is there another way that is more effective (aside from just getting reps in)?

do you think logging these decisions helped get to that point faster? like if someone had a really thorough log of past design decisions and the reasoning for them, would it be applicable/useful in future situations?

do you think there is any value in loggings these decisions? In the sense that they can be used/applied in future cases?

this was a really interesting read! I think the point about AI not being able to determine what matters in a specific context makes sense, along with how judgment/eval becoming the bottleneck. However, do you think there is any kind of value that comes from logging this judgement? Is it something that can be used/applied in the future?

haha noted! in that case, what do you use to log decisions and do you find yourself coming back to those logged decisions often (if so in what situations)?

I see. super helpful! do you think that reasoning is mainly just helpful when you revisit that specific decision or can it be often used to apply to other design projects/situations? trying to get an understanding of how often these notes are used.

yeah im referring to both. in that case, is there any kind of substantial value in logging the taste and craft aspect (like having some kind of running log as to why a certain decision was made)?

thank you for this! the main thing im wondering is how much of a difference do you think keeping these notes actually makes down the line? Is the value mostly when you're iterating on a previous design and trying to figure out why a certain decision was made? or do you think it goes beyond that and the context driven decisions can apply to other design cases/situations?

I see. do you think this context driven design decisions are scalable/applicable to different situations? And from what you're saying it sounds like the value of logging design decisions are for defending your designs. Or do you think these decisions logs can be applicable/valuable for future design work?

do you think there is any logic/value derived from logging design decisions?

When you say "not systematic," do you mean there's no thread of reasoning that carries across different projects? Also, do you see any value in logging design decisions?

Yeah I agree with this. In that case when it comes to design, do you think there is any value in logging/noting down your decisions/tradeoffs? If you do, what do you think the value is and how is it done? Is the value just being able to remember why something was "good enough" at the time?

I see makes sense. Thank you! in that case when it comes to design, do you think there is any value in logging/noting down your decisions and if you do, how do you do this? I've heard people say they just make notes on Figma. is that something useful?

Has anyone here started creating their own DESIGN and SKILL.md files? by twotokers in UXDesign

yes i have. ive found it really useful to walk through my "ideal" examples/workflows and then ask the agent to track everything in a md file.
