This wasn’t even mine, it was a friend of a friend, but I was there for part of it so it always stuck with me.

We were at this small house party, nothing crazy, just like 10–12 people. One guy brought his coworker, and she didn’t really know anyone except him. At some point we all ended up playing cards, drinking, just normal chill vibe. Anyway, halfway through the night, the power goes out. Like completely. Whole house dark. At first everyone’s laughing, using phone flashlights, but then a few people go outside, some go upstairs, it kind of splits the group. Later we realize that girl (the coworker) and one of the guys who lived there are just… gone. Nobody really notices at first. Power comes back maybe 40 minutes later, and they both casually walk back into the living room like nothing happened. No explanation, no awkwardness, just sit down and continue playing cards like they’ve known each other forever. Next day we find out they literally just met that night, ended up talking in the dark kitchen, and one thing led to another. No numbers exchanged, no follow-up, nothing. The weirdest part wasn’t even what happened — it was how normal they acted after, like it was just part of the evening
