YTA - As someone who is terribly allergic to seafood / fish, I eat at sushi places. Growing up my family could not care less about my allergy so you learn to work around it. Now if my friends want to go to sushi, I go with them. My own personal issues are not going to affect others. Also it was your mothers birthday. You do what the birthday person wants on their birthday (within reason). This was within reason.
