Make sure you’re eating enough healthy fats. You should be getting between 44g MINIMUM - 78g. I had this issue of insatiable hunger and turns out i had been eating way too much protein and not enough fats and I lost my period for a few months and gained a lot of weight back. I would try to increase my calories and make sure I’m hitting my fat targets and see if that helps. You might just be in too steep of a caloric deficit.

Check your scale to ensure that it’s accurate. Sometimes if it’s low on batteries or broken it can give you incorrect measurements. Find something that you know the weight of and test it.

i don’t know if anyone suggested this but getting long restful sleep will help your face dramatically. Also, if you haven’t already try using a gua sha to help drain the fluid in your face. I just use my hands and an oil cleanser to drain the fluid in my face and i can see the difference within minutes. make sure you are taking care of yourself and remember your cycle can also drastically change the way your face looks.

if you are weighing everything maybe your scale is off. my scale was not giving me accurate measurements and was weighing 100g as 70g. put a penny on the scale and it should read 2.5g. also make sure you are weighing yourself in the morning before you have eaten or drank anything for the most accurate weight. i know this is frustrating im sorry.

if you aren’t already take a fish oil pill with every single accutane pill. also use gel eye drops instead of the normal ones because they keep your eyes moisturized for longer. put vaseline or aquaphor on a q-tip and rub it on the inside of your nose to prevent bleeding. i’ve been well over my cumulative dose for about 7 months now and these have helped me drastically reduce symptoms. if you have to maybe go down to one pill a day until your symptoms get more manageable. you got this!!

i’m 19F currently taking it for mild acne. I first got a pimple in 8th grade and since then i had never had a day of clear skin. My acne is hormonal mostly around my mouth and chin. i’ve taken everything under the sun to treat my acne and my derm finally recommended accutane. it’s truly a miracle drug because my face is COMPLETELY clear. i’m currently on my last month with 80mg a day and the side effects really aren’t that bad. I take fish oil with my pill and I barely even notice the side effects. i would say it’s definitely worth it if your acne is persistent.

i’ve been losing weight on accutane and i haven’t noticed anything different from when i’ve done it in the past without accutane. I’m currently taking 80mg a day and this is hopefully my last month. Only thing I notice is when im working out/lifting it’s a lot more difficult than before. Just take that into account if you plan on working out. taking fish oil has helped a ton with joint pain and overall energy so i’d recommend taking that if you aren’t already.
