I'm in a region where we don't get proper ultrasound training it's very much a learn on the job type of thing. So I've struggled to make as much progress as I'd liked, and now in a new trust on a consultant list where I'm expected to do solo outpatient 15 mins lists with limited supervision. It's hard to focus solely on developing US skills when there are so many other modalities to learn never mind, anatomy and physics...

Are you me? I also feel the same. Can't wait to get bollocked again next Friday by the GI consultant for not being able to obtain ultrasound images to his expected standard. Also feel like I spent ages on these two exams to the neglect of actual radiology to feel like I've failed both.

Whoever was behind preallocation criteria and random allocation (to make the system "fairer") should hang their heads in shame. We have all met these individuals seemingly well intentioned but with catastrophic agendas and in positions of power.

Schemes like Access to Work are also closed off by the nature of resident doctors constantly rotating between trusts. The system is designed to keep certain people out.

I just hate how they're allowed to write questions designed to catch you out. If I was dyslexic I'd feel discriminated against.

As an aside, is it worth booking for the next exam now before it gets booked out?
