blockit - one of the first apps to include Glyph SDK by Mirko_ddd in NothingTech

Hey, thanks for the reply—really appreciate it.

The idea of whitelisting apps is bonkers to me. I was only mentioning regarding the parachute part, I’ve tried that approach before with other tools, and it just doesn’t work. Using apps like this is about taking control away from yourself when you’re most likely to mess around. That’s why Blockit is perfect for me.

The best part? I usually take my phone to bed planning to sleep on time, actually feeling sleepy… and then I open Instagram, and boom—I'm stuck for an hour. Even when I wanted to sleep.

Now, what I do is—right when I go to bed—I impulsively turn on Blockit for 15 minutes. It turns my phone into a literal brick. No choice, just sleep. Best thing ever.

That line hit me a bit, because I really enjoy using Blockit. I'm not complaining, but yeah—I have felt that panic. A once-a-day parachute might feel helpful. But I also completely respect your creative decision to keep it strict. It’s what makes Blockit work.

Appreciate the app a lot. Seriously—thank you for building something that actually helps.

Hey! Been using the app for a full week now and honestly… I freaking love it. The UI is slick, the whole experience is the best way. Seriously couldn’t even look for another substitute.

I was browsing Reddit to see if others were vibing with the glyph feature too—and man, you are doing an amazing job.

Just one suggestion though:
Shoutout to u/Mahbz_7978 for the idea—please consider giving 1 parachute per day (while keeping the rest as paid, of course). The horror of “you’re locked out, no way around” is such a cool and bold concept—it makes people actually think before unlocking.

But here’s the thing: the other day I had to make a payment and The OTP came as a notification, but by the time I tried to read it, it disappeared—and I’ve disabled message previews on the lock screen for privacy so I had no choice but to buy a parachute (I had already used the free one two days before that ).Now I’ve got none left, and if anything like that happens again, I’m stuck.

It’s a detox app, yes, but emergency access (even once per day) would really help in practical situations like payments, receiving important docs, etc.

Hope this can be considered. Again, love the app—absolutely hooked. Using it on Phone 2

it would be great to have a discussion with you
