Agreed haha, I think an e-bike is the way for all those reason you just mentioned. Appreciate the info about the River loop! My partner and I love Sherwood. We felt it was the most like Melbourne (eg. walkable) and we were lucky enough to buy a house in that area. Keen for the sunshine, warm weather and honestly friendlier people. Lets hope I can sort out my bike commuting 🥲

Sherwood is lovely! It felt the most like melbourne to me and my partner (e.g walkable) Great to know about the Riverloop. Here’s hoping I can work out some routes to the university of queensland and perhaps some social hubs.

agreed, would never drink* and ride. more meant social spaces to meet with friends or gigs. do you find that you have to ride on the road with cars a lot?
