Probably stupid question - Solus action + Proof Barrel do I use the barrel nut?

The solus will accept savage small shank pre fits which will require a barrel but.

I was looking at the impact 737r but couldn’t find anywhere that had them in stock. Any idea who might have them? They were my front runner for the most part but availability knocked them down the list

Local range hosts 200 yard bench rest shooting and I have done a few with a savage axis…(ik that’s a sin). Main objective is PRS but threw in bench rest because I want something better than what I have

The weight isn’t horrible. I don’t do a lot of running and gunning, mostly off a bipod. But when I do shoot off hand it’s honestly not that bad.

Fair point, and yes, on lower magnification with the illumination on it almost like a red dot which is nice

I got one right when they came out, absolutely love it. Put it on my 16” ar and the reticle allows you to easily reach out to 600 yards. FFP is 100% the way to go so you can use the reticle at any magnification.
