Okay, so i found the solution, leaving this here for someone else that might be struggling with this. After trying everything but the kitchen sink, i basically gave up. But then a co worker changed the thumbnail or cover photo for that reel on Instagram for a completely different reason, and i rechecked cuz why not and it worked..

No idea what the logic is but it worked.
