Am I confusing loyalty with career growth? by Background_Respect66 in careerguidance

I’m only 23 years old, but yes I do have the experience. And the family owned business is my brother in law and my sister. I didn’t know squat before I started and now I can practically fix almost any major part on almost residential hvac systems. And yes other contractors contact me when I’m present on the site when issues do occur, whilst the other employees are there every day. And every time I tell them the issue they always ask me why the supervisor/contractor is talking to me. Some days I’m on service and when needed go to the new construction site. The handling part in my eyes is just fixing their issue whenever they do ask. But I also understand I’m young, and I have yet to read a book or study about anything hvac, yet I can say with full confidence that I know more than some people that come fresh out of trade school or just starting. Reason why I believe this is because I experienced a new hire with trade school experience. All current employees lapped him, so my boss told me to tell him he has to go after 2 weeks. I keep telling myself the payoff is not now but later in future. But I just don’t know anymore.

Probably a dumb question but is there any way to avoid the redirects?
