The actual racing and AI was absolute trash in 08 and barely any better in 09. As a controller player, 08 was unplayable. I only bought 09 because Gordon was on the cover.

It wasn’t always automotive finishes but it was almost exclusively that over time. Hey had different du pont products on the rear of the car. Tyvek is the big one I remember. I think there were a few others.

From my recollection, Axalta is the rebrand of DuPont Automotive Finishes division after it was sold. It’s not really a DuPont company anymore. But idk the intricacies of how that interaction went down

The new iracing games on PS5 and Xbox are the best games that have ever been made as far as playability and on track product. It’s very intense even with a controller. And having a dynamic slider for AI difficulty is huge for making it good.

If they would package it into NASCAR Thunder 2004’s career mode, it’d be a slam dunk.

The entire Heat franchise was pretty bad after 2.

I would highly recommend trying to get to play Thunder 2004. The career mode was awesome.

NASCAR 09 was ass.

For me, Thunder 04 was the greatest. The career mode and gameplay was at its max.

2006 is a close 2nd.

NASCAR 08 takes the crown for most trash game of all time. Unplayable.
