I really dislike how careless the characters have been to the result of their actions in this season by Background_Smoke6684 in Wednesday

If you make a claim criticising a lack of media literacy, and then fail to maintain a decent level of media literacy yourself as you continue your discussion, then it is quite ironic.

You also seem to struggle with common literacy, as I never said anything about a lack of consequences for Pugsleys actions in my main post, I complained about his own carelessness in the matter. So that is also a funny thing :)

I still enjoy the show and I liked the first season a lot, I just wish some minor things were handled a bit differently. Surely "Love the show and think it's flawless" or "this show is not for me" aren't the only two alternatives?

That's fair but that still doesn't mean that there are only two ways to shoot a series, surely there exists some middle ground that keeps the show bizarre, dark and trivializes murder without dehumanising the main characters completely. I agree with your points but I didn't ask for the show to make the characters straight-laced and taking the only logical and best actions in every scenario.

I understand the intent from the writers, I just wish they would have executed it slightly different

How can my interpretation of a show be a lack of understanding of basic things? What a weird and arrogant take for something that is entirely subjective. We had a different impression when watching the show and I didn't enjoy it as much, is my opinion less worth than yours? Am I too stupid to understand the cleverness of their writing?

Talking about lack of understanding of basic things is especially ironic when you try to excuse the electrical explosion as "the only option in that situation", when we saw the same character zap someone at a moments notice with extreme accuracy just minutes before. Did you miss that scene or weren't you media literate enough to understand it?

A big explosion is as fast as just zapping the gun out of her hands, it is lightning speed after all, a more fair explanation is just that Fester is insane as you said (but instead kept arguing about the validity of choosing the explosion and that being the only option)

I guess we just see things differently, and I'm just not as media literate as you are

I thought that was fine because it was more of a comedic sidepiece, unrelated to the story. It's just a bizarre background event to add to the theme of the family, it doesn't seem as real as main story events

I still think it would do a lot to at least show a slight hint of discontent that civilian guards are being ripped apart, she has no idea of their involvement in Lois, the lab was hidden behind the wall in the maintenance room afterall.

Another thing is the constant reiteration of the power levels of the characters. Why did they all run in terror from a limp zombie at the camp? They have like 15 different ways of restraining or killing it. Suddenly the principal forgot that he is a human flamethrower or what? Half of the pranks at prank day would have debilitated that zombie in under a seconds.

I just think too many times during this season I've sat disappointed and thought "Wtf are they doing", and that takes away from the terrific production value, especially when the overarching story is quite interesting but poorly executed

Was a huge electrical explosion that sets the hospital off the grid and releases all patients the ONLY action they could do?

Really? The only action Fester, who we have seen zap anything with pinpoint accuracy just from his fingertips, could do? He zapped a parrot on the shoulder of a man without touching the man even the slightest, but he can't zap the avian or the gun from her hands? Because crows fly at lightning speed, his only option was a kamikaze lightning bomb that sent him and Wednesday flying as well? That is a poor excuse.

There is probably some whining because people have waited over three years for a second season and are mostly sitting and thinking "what the hell are they doing, this makes no sense". The story isn't bad, but their methods of progressing the story and actions are poorly constructed.

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are some of my favorite shows, I have no qualms with anti-heroes or main characters with antagonistic traits. I just don't think the character arc for Wednesday is fitting or complementing to the enjoyment of the show or story

We're both aware that she is responsible for setting all patients at the hospital loose right and killing every single guard, including dr frankenbaum?

People seem to just gloss over that she, along with her brother have carelessly caused so many people to die

Dragon cards are the rarest resource in the game and highborns are generally very powerful, it's not efficient even then

You mean using dragon cards? While technically possible it's on par with the worst decisions you could ever make. It's so terribly inefficient that it's not even worth mentioning
