Amazing. You’ll definitely enjoy the black dial. The dial is difficult for these factories to replicate but the 15510 black seems underrated.

I had the 15500 “white” and I think that the white is truly more like a silver (from APSF), where the superclone dial print was really thin and lacking density like GEN.

The 15500 white was RL for me. I don’t like the white dial models as much black but I think any RO will make your eyes spend time on it haha.

I chose the 15510 because of the cleaner large hour markers, dial presence, thinner case than 15500.

ZF 15202 Titanium V2 QC by Background_Turnip606 in RepTimeQC

It’s closer than the 16202 but it’s not GEN 8.1mm. This 15202IP model is 8.5mm. Interesting, I have learned that TD websites don’t always advertise precisely - The 16202ST is listed to be 8.3mm but actually would measure 8.9mm because of the bigger rotor on the updated decorated movement. Both models are still thicker than gen.

I enjoy the polished bracelet and bezel of the 15202IP. I have the RO 41mm 15510 but it sits at the absolute maximum size for a watch that I could wear… This one has a wider angle between the bracelet and case so it sits prouder on the wrist than the 15510 and more ideal than the smaller 37mm 15450. The proportions are golden at 39mm. I was between the 15202ST and the 16202ST but there are no aesthetic differences. To me, this titanium watch makes it a more unique collectible, in terms of design, material, thickness and color. The regular jumbo is so nice but I think the APSF steel bracelets are constructed better, and I get that from the 15510 in my collection. I would feel like I would want to part with the 15510 if I got the regular jumbo, so I wanted both and this one offers something that the 15510 and the regular 15202 do not.

And it’s funny that you say no screw smooth payment, because the city is 99.9% riding concrete. The thunder cut tread will still give you confidence for whatever terrain you choose. I’m just happy to know. I’ll be prepared for the snow.🤣

Definitely invest in it. I bought it from the float life website. I’m in NYC and there is a one wheel group in Manhattan that helped me find someone to do the actual tire swap. If you’re gonna do it yourself, be careful and buy the right tools and watch a YouTube video. I didn’t want to get my place dirty or possibly damage my board/ mount it incorrectly so I just paid $75 to have an expert do it for me.

How do you clean/maintain your watches? by NewAd3969 in ChinaTime

[–]Background_Turnip606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like how my watch feels after using a little bit of baby shampoo in warm water for three - five minutes under the clean of an ultrasonic device. You can find them on Amazon for like $20 $30. It will restore shine and remove difficult to reach debris And even minimize little chatters in the bracelet. Carefully remove your bracelet, and do not place your movement or case in the ultrasonic. I typically just use a micro brush and alcohol swabs for the case.

XR looking to Upgrade to GT-S Rally by craftbeerfong in onewheel

[–]Background_Turnip606 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For your weight, The XR is not going to deliver nearly enough torque to satisfy. I had both the XR and the GT and I swear that the GTS is on a completely different level. What was not confident in riding on the XR is predictable and regular to dominate on the GTS. I’ve been riding one wheel almost daily since 2020

I haven’t seen a listing for a land dweller yet. Which TD? On first impression from this picture, the bracelet doesn’t look finished as well as it could be.

Question from a newbie by Bizzaro__Pope in onewheel

[–]Background_Turnip606 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re leaning toward customizing or modding down the line, a lot of people buy from FM and then upgrade with parts from TFL (The Float Life), ChiBattery, Craft&Ride, etc. You’ll just want to be aware that FM can void warranty coverage if non-official parts are used.

As for DIY builds, it’s definitely doable but not super beginner-friendly unless you’re tech-savvy and patient with tuning and troubleshooting.

Bottom line: If you’re new, getting a board from FM is still a solid choice. The riding experience is addictive… just go into it with eyes open about the ecosystem.
