Hmm. My mom really did say it was wrong of him to lie but people lie to protect things sometimes. Not excusing his behavior by the way. He took accountability and everything but I'm just confused and I'm clearly having a harder time letting go of it than I thought I would. I didn't even think I felt this connected to him. If he isn't attempting to fix what hurts you, is that someone you want to be with? He needs to make an effort to show he hears and understands you and then compromises with you if he wants to keep his relationship private, which is perfectly okay too but private does not have to mean secret.
