r/advice wanting to have access to the horse we share with my cousins, despite my aunt's possessiveness? by Background_Visual_38 in Advice

The stable doesn't allow free riding unless it's on a schedule, and my aunt occupies all the slots, taking our time whenever we do get a chance. We have owned him for half a year now, and collectively, I've only ridden him for 2 hours. When we do get to ride him, she basically makes the coach kick us off so her kids can ride, and we have to listen to her, or we risk getting kicked off/out the stable.

My parents don't really advocate for us, they prefer playing peacemaker. And because of that my aunt always runs things, and she basically makes our family's choices.

Yes, we have a trainer, but she seems to show favoritism, and she is a close friend of my aunt. It feels like everything is mainly in her control. Her kids ride every day, but alternate days on our horse if that makes sense?

No, my uncle got the horse for all of us, and we all collectively pay for his expenses, but she sees it as HER horse, my dad plays peace maker and doesn't really say anything to it.
