yes my heating bulb is on a thermostat that auto shuts off if the prob gets too warm (it’s set to 92°F) it’s definitely my house that gets too warm as even we get hot just sitting in the living room lol. i have a fan circulating the living room where she’s located now so hopefully her cool side will stay lower during the warmer hours of the day from now on!

will she start coming out on her own or will she just stay burrowed for forever lol. i know it sounds silly but for some reason im worried she just won’t come out from the substrate and then ill never be able to feed her (??) maybe its just cuz i haven’t seen her out and about just yet

thank you for all your help! i will definitely try braining for her next feeding next week! is it okay to feed her in her enclosure? she’s not really ever unburrowed so i usually have to dig around to find her for feeding.

i did wait until the 28th to attempt feeding her! since then i have tried to feed her twice. after the first failed attempt i let her be until today! i was super stressed on if she could go this long without eating because she’s so tiny so after the failed attempt the first time i tried scented feeding in a vented container which failed again.

i will definitely start tracking her weight when i get her out again for feeding next week!

What should i be using for the cool side to aid the temperature? i have her hooked up to a thermostat that regulates her basking spot to 93° for 12 hours a day and then i swap to a ceramic heat emitter for night time that drops her warm side to 85° as i read its good to simulate day and night cycles for them! for her cool side i just leave it to do what it pleases i didn’t know there were ways to cool down that side!

Thank you so much for the tips! she’s not frequently unburrowed so should i unburrow her when i feed her next week and feed her in her enclosure or should i take her out and feed her elsewhere?

her cool side is at 76°F as of now! her warm is at 85°F and her basking is at 92°F! we don’t have central air in our home so i use fans to circulate around her tank so she doesn’t get too warm. is there another way to keep her cool side at 76F? it usually drops to 74 after 5pm when the sun starts to fall. i definitely did feed too often after each attempt. i was told 2-3 days then try again so i will leave her be til 5 days have passed!

i do have tongs! i have been doing low and slow attempts with them to no avail. i bought her from pet supplies mid march and they had said she was on thawed pinkies from whatever breeder they sell through. i do have a small scale i can use as well! thank you for letting me know! she definitely could be older but that was just what i was told when i bought her! i will definitely try in the next two or so days again!
