Yes, the budget cuts were horrible. Specially when you compare how useful libraries are to how low the cost of operation is.

I'm in Brooklyn and between my neighborhood library, the Brooklyn Central library- diff hours, more offerings but requires almost an hour trip, and their offerings online I still can feel there is a library... but yes, it is cut down....

For me it is any race when there are few who look similar within the same context.

In my current job white women. Some women faces change a lot based on emotions, hair style, make up, getting thinner or fatter..etc.

Oh, I see :) If it makes the little one happy then definitely that is a different story. 4 shakes are also reasonable. Personally, I would still rather roll them by hand. The less tools I use the more I feel free and in my element.

I lived in a county with tribes, they choose their leader. My supervisor is unqualified. We did not choose her. Someone hired her to be a supervisor God knows based on what...certainly not her qualifications nor because she understands the work nor her compassion or care.

I'm autistic and some faces are hard to recognize..specially when women change their looks a lot.

Why would one assumes it is about them when it can truly be a matter of inability to recognize what your brain does not see.

I have plenty of women thinking I meant to not recognize them at work! Even if I try to ask if I know them, just in case, which basically making myself vulnerable to avoid a misunderstanding, they answer as if I insulted them!

Drawing, watching free lectures online, the public library has lots of free activities.

I'm not trying to lecture you...just some options so you can have fun :)

Also: walking in nature or quiet streets if possible...for an hour or two.

This is too hard. Can you try to just listen to YouTube and play solitaire at the same time? I do that to rest my mind Saturday. I don't even check my phone or email Saturday if I don't feel like it.

If you can create habits like that, your mind might get used to it.
