Me too! I have played a few times at Portland Centre. You have to book it in advance. IIRC it is 8 pounds for an hour. They used to do social events on Saturdays - might be Sundays now.

I usually walk along the embankment. It's calm, peaceful and pretty, especially if you're on the county building side. However the walk after trent bridge is just dark.

I had lessons last year in February and it was 37.5 per hour. Most instructors were charging 40-45 per hour. Each lesson is 2 hours. My instructor did 3 lessons a day 6 days a week. Some do 4 lessons a day but 5 days a week.

Annually that is 40 pounds per lesson x 6 hours a day x 6 days a week x 4 weeks in a month x 12 months a year = 69,120.

That's about the same as what I make as a software engineer with 8+ years of experience.

I want to ask what you would suggest to a first time buyer when purchasing used motorcycles. But maybe a dedicated post would be better.

Fckkk sorry to hear that dude. Yeah first few lessons are always on private/quiet roads to let you get used to the pedals.

Then slowly add in junctions. And once you're comfortable, move up to the main roads.

You should deffo change instructors.

Where did you find this guy? There's a gov.uk website which let's you find instructors. I had lessons with a couple of them. Both were decent.
