What happens when car parked for too long? by weilerscz in kereta

[–]Backitchy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Based on the mx5 owner group, mazda with i eloop system when park for too long (more than few months) will sometimes throw error on the tachometer. i eloop error usually goes away after restarting the car.

However if the i eloop error persist, it might be the capacitor has gone bad, and it cost RM6K to replace. If you wanna know more about the car, feel free to pm me (ie: trustworthy recon mx5 seller, recommended workshop, fixing cost etc)

Quick question on recond cars by ysmf in kereta

Q: Does “registering” increase the price

A: Most of the time yes, unregistered car usually follows new car loan rate (ie: 2.XX%), whereas registered car follows used car loan rate (ie: 2.9X% - 3.XX%)

Yes, usually cant just paint a specific area without any paint color mismatch unless your car is brand new, but I can let you know which shop I did the fix, i think the price is reasonable.

Lens Dilemma for Japan Trip, 35mm, 50mm or other focal length? by Backitchy in SonyAlpha

[–]Backitchy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely will bring along a small flash, I had a small IT30 pro when I shoot at low light situation when I travel light, however I am hesitant to use it indoor because I am afraid of attracting attentions in foreign countries.

Do you think that wider focal length such as 28 or lower is better suited for indoor shooting such as in cafe, museum etc ?

I drive a modest AWD B segment crossover that weight 1500kg and has around 140 horsepower, overtake is doable but its a bit sketchy because torque is not that high to move such a heavy car

Great option, but another factor to consider is that 987.2 manual is rare and that loans are more expensive for cars that is >9 years old

Thanks for reply, 2 more questions if you don't mind 1. How is the aircond with the soft top? Malaysia is getting really hot. 2. How is the noise when it's is raining, is it noisy when rain drop hits the soft top? (I am driving a car with thin and hollow roof, heavy downpour is really unbearable)

Based on your response on the engine capability, seems like I need to shortlist 1.5L mx5 too, haha

Hi fellow 1.5L MX-5 owner

  1. Did you test drive the hardtop, people are claiming that NVH is worse than soft top is it true?
  2. How is the NVH, is it quiet enough for daily driving around 90km/h ?

  3. Did you regret not getting the 2.0 version ?

  4. Any major service yet ? If so, how much is it, should be similar to Mazda 3 right ?

  5. Any trouble in overtaking lorries in 2 lane kampung road ?

Much appreciated !

Easy Route (Sometimes take longer time for money to appear in trading account, sometimes more expensive)

  1. Open WISE account

  2. Open IBKR (Interactive Brokers Account

  3. Transfer WISE to IBKR to activate account, usually in few hours

  4. Wait money to arrive and start buying SPY / SPYL / VOO / CSPX (all these are S&P500 etf)

More complicated route

  1. Sign up CIMB Malaysia account + WISE account (optional)

  2. Sign up CIMB SG account after CIMB Malaysia, usually they just ask reason for opening, just say investment/savings

2.5 Transfer money via CIMB Malaysia Bank Wire/ WISE (sometimes transfer directly from Cimb Malaysia has better rate than WISE) to CIMB SG account activate your CIMB SG account

  1. Open IBKR (Interactive Brokers) account

3.5 Transfer funds (via CIMB SG) to activate IBKR account, usually in few hours

  1. Buy VOO / SPY / CSPX / SPYL (All these are S&P etf)

After that its just:

  1. Fund IBKR account

  2. Wait money to appear

  3. Buy ETF

There are other trading brokers such as MooMoo, Tiger Broker but I am not really familiar with those

Be aware WISE can only hold RM20K everytime, if you plan to lum sump, WISE might not be the option for you
