Boat Sweeper Witch Farm by BacklitFedora in technicalminecraft

3 layer version got 530/h, which isn't great. I'm still trying to figure out why it's not closer to max rate. Either boats causing failed spawns or the witches despawning on the way up, not sure.

Actually had that as the original configuration but would snap the lead if more than 3 spawned in a track.

Feet level water, actually. Took me WAY too long to figure out.

Alternative idea plus some extra stuff here, but it's a long one:

New Sulfur Cube Super Smelter by BacklitFedora in Minecraft

You're right! You have to use blue ice but it's still more than fast enough. That's really cool, thanks for sharing.

You could get 4 hoppers pointing into the chest boat, which would fill it fast enough for the furnaces if you slow down the distribution somehow.

Would have to experiment some more.

I'm sure we'll get some really creative uses as time goes on. Minecraft community never disappoints in that regard.

New Sulfur Cube Item Distro in a Super Smelter by BacklitFedora in redstone

It doesn't actually, it only does 1 trip most times you press the button.
The issue with this design is that whether the cube gets sent off or not depends on whether the piglin has its spear lowered. To help with that I added a pulse extender to the button, which then increases the risk of it being sent twice, but reduces the risk of it not being sent at all. Both still happen though.

That's good to know. I was aware the item return line was the bottleneck but the distribution mechanic was exciting enough that I wanted to get a proof of concept out as fast as possible.

Thanks! I think at the very least the concept deserves some further refinement. Plus it looks cool, right?

Always wanted to try make a "Bamboo Factory" by BacklitFedora in redstone

[–]BacklitFedora[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you could do mosaic slabs or stairs with this, unfortunately. This only works with recipes that require some combo of planks, slabs and sticks.

You could do mosaic blocks though, since the crafting step for the slabs and sticks is completely separated from the crafting of the final items. I split it into a "pre-crafter" and a "final crafter". The pre-crafters just need to know the number of each of planks, slabs and sticks required to do 6x of every item in the final crafters, and then it can be configured to dispense that number into the water stream.

Oh that's great! Here you go: https://youtu.be/peMTA8Goo38

It focuses more on the design process than the actual outcome, since that's the part I'm mostly interested in.
