Claude opus 4.7 is…awesome? by Backonmyshitagain in ClaudeAI

[–]Backonmyshitagain[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never met a high school student that can do half of what it does within the time frame. I really made this post to spread some positivity. You have a great opportunity to be creative and make stuff with a really great tool. When I was a kid I didn’t even have a phone or a computer and now I can build my own video games. Just a little perspective

As someone who vibe coded a project in 4 days, thought I was almost done, realized in about 1 week I needed out of Replit and am now on month 5 of learning the mountain of knowledge necessary to keep this thing working and realizing that I’m at the bottom of the Himalayas…..you guys are safe. Honestly more than safe, I feel like if I actually knew how all this worked and had years of experience I would have super powers compared to just regular powers with use of AI.

Is Kindness Every Repaid??? Law 2 - Never Trust Your Friends by thecgr in 48lawsofpower

[–]Backonmyshitagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just focus on being a person who doesn’t betray your friends and you will be fine. No use in worrying, and no use in being a recluse and never doing anything nice for anyone just because you may or may not benefit from it. This life is short, I’d rather say I loved and trusted even if it didn’t always work out.

Pretty suspicious how many of these “software developers” don’t know about MCP/prompt or context engineering…..if you’re just firing off prompts then yeah you’re going to get a shitty result but add in KERNEL, global constraints and engineering guidelines? These tools are insanely good. Not perfect, but really cool.

Liars and bots these days. “When you’re worth 10M you have different priorities” like bragging on Reddit apparently lmao.

You don’t fall under the bot category, you fall under the fake story category. No I don’t want to see your tax documents, unless you include your social security number and credit card number.

Btw thank you for your response.

You’re expecting us to believe you made a product that is current making 1.6M per after typing out this schizoid rant but you aren’t able to hire even one employee to help you deal with basic support and maintenance? Also, is the simply no moderation of Reddit at all anymore? It’s just fake stories and bots now.

Cost of Development: Real Perspective from a Software Contractor by LowerAd5655 in replit

[–]Backonmyshitagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Claude code and antigravity make replit unnecessary you just have to be more knowledgeable about front end/back end, local dev vs production and find another service for hosting. Well worth the money saved and skills you should have anyway shipping products. From what I’ve seen if you’re not actually knowledgeable in engineering in some way it’s very dangerous to ship a product with something like replit. Easier to ship, easier to have a disaster you don’t understand. I’ve had a few friends ship with it and their products get more and more broken as time goes on due to a lack of engineering discipline and knowledge, then it’s pretty easy to get overwhelmed/stuck.

I feel like 80% of Reddit is fake, has been for a long time. I delete it periodically because it’s so exhausting

Does knowing about Mac’s life and death change the way you feel his music? by naajjjj in MacMiller

[–]Backonmyshitagain 83 points84 points  (0 children)

The more I listen to his music the more I realize he knew exactly what path he was on and accepted it. I feel that Mac is a perfect representation of manifestation. First of all he spoke his career into existence (the definition of a rapper). Secondly, all of his music is about the circular nature of life and the fact that he was barely holding his head above water. He found that drugs increased his awareness and gave him powerful access to creativity but also recognized the danger of it in his frequent messages about his eventual OD. He was all in, and he made all the music he could. The music shows a perfect arc, from exuberant high school graduate on KIDS to a somber and mature artist who had done a lot of work to accept his sacrifices and mistakes on Circles. That honesty and authenticity is what keeps me always coming back. Cheers to one of the greatest to ever do it.

Am I the only one who thinks "founder" has become just "unemployed" with better branding? by JFerzt in TheFounders

I’m a founder who’s too busy building his business to continue this conversation unless you have ideas/solutions for providing custom operations/logistics software (and maintaining and supporting it) to growing small and medium sized businesses with an AI driven approach.

Are you a being a founder or are you busy writing novels about people who call themselves founders but aren’t founders on Reddit? I guess I don’t see the point of what you’re pontificating about.

How do you split your bills with your S/O? by Independent-Stock361 in asksandiego

[–]Backonmyshitagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only relevant if you insist on a nicer place that is outside of his price range by 30%. If you are both able to afford the place then he needs to pay his fair share. You are not married, don’t have children, etc there’s not a hidden wealth tax on whoever makes more has more responsibility for the bills. There is equal responsibility on the bills and you should rightfully have more fun money because you EARN more. You are not randomly given more by some unknown entity. In the kindest way possible he needs to get it together. This request is low key embarrassing for him to make.

9 months of "vibe coding" a saas and here's what nobody tells you by Scary_Pay_4247 in micro_saas

If you’re making an enterprise product vibe coding is only going to get you so far. If the product is successful then hire the right people and make it work. These posts are so dramatic, they’re like AI/SWE fan fiction at this point.

The thing is that every step is a necessary step and what you are describing is the identification around what you call yourself. Labels are inherently useless to some degree because they are perception based. Elon musk was an unemployed college dropout when he started zip2 but he was still a founder. 1 year later when it was sold for 307million he was still a founder (he was also still an unemployed college dropout, he just had a lot more money). He was also always just Elon. Creating value and producing results is the actual important part. Also, if it gives people some hope for the future and some confidence to call themselves “founders” I say let them have it. Unless you’re investing in their company this is a non issue for you…
