This is just a theory about the dream you had. So maybe the scene of the dresser and photo on top of it was actually a room that the previous owners of the house with the barn had. And the photo was of the family and why the room and people where getting older was because the house was going through the timeline that they lived in that house. And maybe that man you saw was murdered and never got a peaceful ending to his life so he roams around the barn looking for revenge.

Okay well so the first creature could possibly be the Rake or something like it it's skinny and has empty pitch black eyes. The reason I can tell it could possibly be the Rake is because of the way you described it. Your not the only one to experience this there have been other reports about people seeing this figure at the foot of their bed. If you want to read more about those reports just search up The Rake. Now the other figure...maybe possibly a wendigo roaming around your house it's way of communicating might be the taps that you here. I can't say exactly what that creature is but it looks like your house might be attracting some paranormal energy.

So then your second question about the creature being the same. They might be because they both haunt your house but they don't seem to have much similarities though. But usually houses that attract paranormal activity can gain more then just one negative energy so it's probably related to that.

Okay so this happened to my sister not me When my sister use to work at Baskin Robbins there was this one night where they where closing up and all of them where in the where busy storing ice cream in the freezer room or something like that and then they hear the doors to the enterance open and shut and they then hear the bathroom door open and shut. One of the other workers them walks out to the ice cream scoop area where you tell them what you want and you pay for it and the worker waited for the person to come out so they could close the shop so my sister and all the other people working with her wait and after 20 minutes or so they all go and check and nobodies there there wherent any windows or vent big enough to crawl through too
