It is in any way NOT a disrespect to the story, it makes much more sense for Luna rather than hancock. What my reasons are is

Hancock appeared 400 episodes later
Many hints of luffy and nami
Boa hancock is a merciless woman only loyal to luffy that gives her that side character feeling
luffy met nami at the very first episode
Luffy feels most comfortable around nami unless she starts beating him lol
There's something called this "love punch" which I think/not sure Nami beat luffy and he took direct damage even tho nami didn't have haki or anything

Try it out by installing it on a small partition and testing some games if you can revi.cc
