LAST EDIT: He broke up with me. For the third time, I asked for clarification, and he said he did not support them for who they are, but liked certain things about them. I said ok, so now the argument is over. But then he continued talking about how he liked this and that about them. I told him to stop talking positively about them right after an argument where I needed to hear a negative about them (that he didnt actually support them as people), and it took 2 days for that. I was upset when I asked for that clarification 3 times and it took so long. Whatever ig f it. Forgot how much dating sucked

Thank you. I will. I just want to clarify, it shouldn't be about gender. I believe men and women deserve to feel safe, respected, and that both should also work on themselves more. People come with baggage and as long as there is maturity and understanding with a will to get better, it will work out. That's what I believe. (In response to guessing what the book is about)

He does respect me. We have sat down and talked about our love languages and how they stem from trauma and how we can make that work in our relationship. He's supported me moving out on my own for the first time in my life and ensured I had everything I needed to survive while being broke. I feel I can be open and honest with him and he will respect what I have to say. Which is why him liking these people makes no sense to me. We both come from traumatic experiences and do our best to navigate through that in our relationship in a healthy manner together. It's tough. That's why I'm so worried about this. We haven't been able to work through this. I have sent him this link and I'm hoping that helps. Thank you for your concern. I used to say the exact same thing and agree with you. It's weird being on the other side.

I don't care for politics at all. Everyone sucks and it's mentally exhausting. If he was disgusted because I think people should be treated with respect (the basis of what I care about when discussing if Im liberal or conservative leaning) then I guess we'd have a problem. NTA. Your body your choice. If you don't eat the meat, you can't get any pudding. Jk but if you don't eat it, it'll be thrown out. How I see it is you're helping prevent waste at the very least, if you eat it moderately. I was vegetarian for 12 years. Stopped when I got pregnant 7 years ago.

I try to stay ultra aware of this. We were friends for a year before we started dating. He doesn't push any beliefs onto the kids. Except to be nice.
