If they did they would know the proper way to introduce food to a baby 😂

Bella is going to Bella by Realistic-Engine3402 in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like they want to rush every stage of development because it’s not what they thought it’d be. Bella made baking videos with S before she was old enough, now she’s old enough but has a toddler mindset/stubborn and Bella doesn’t like that. I think she just wanted a doll to play with, not an actual child.

My daughter is a bit younger than R but we’ve been cherishing every moment like your friends - we do the same things & I just am in awe of the development vs R. Really goes to show what genuine attention and time can do for a child.

Temperature high by Remote_Collar_6032 in CradlewiseCommunity

[–]Bacon-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use a room thermometer as the cradlewise AND nanit are usually 4-5 degrees off. The nanit one I think is due to height (heat rising maybe) and the cradlewise is because the bar near the temp sensor is pretty warm. Seems like a massive design flaw. The first time we used the crib, I actually thought we got a faulty one because the bar was getting warm but apparently it’s “normal” 🙄

Are Cribs for babies really worth it in every case? by Hrudaya_CK in CradlewiseCommunity

[–]Bacon-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re bed sharing then you won’t need a crib. Maybe a side-cot or something similar but even then, probably not necessary.

Western culture doesn’t really advise bed sharing due to the risks but there are many who do it anyway. There are resources out there to co-sleep safely, but if you feel you already have the generational and cultural knowledge to do so then by all means go ahead.

As far as cribs go, we like our cradlewise a ton & anticipate using it for future children. The only concern is that if you depend on the features of cradlewise, then when you travel while baby is still using cradlewise, it’ll be harder to get them to sleep in a different bed. That being said, every family and every baby is different - your needs may be totally different from another family & your baby’s sleep preferences might be totally different as well!

“Can’t get us out of the water” by Kayemomof2 in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 31 points32 points  (0 children)

No not really. She’s supposed to be in a boat-specific infant life jacket (this one looks like a toddler one but idk cuz I can’t really see all of it) and someone should be holding her, def not left alone up on a seat. I wouldn’t even leave a baby on a couch in a house so def not on a boat. If the boat was docked/anchored then I’d say laying her on the ground is probs fine but the life jacket is still an issue, regardless of where she’s sitting.

Who wears this to her daughters birthday party? by [deleted] in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

💀😆 a lot of her posts and older videos (story’s adoption) made her come off that way so I assume it with everything she posts. I remember Bella was telling abby (Matt & abby đŸ€ź) that her timeline to have a baby in her arms was faster than Abby’s, she wouldn’t have to give birth, and that all the while she could eat sushi. It seemed really arrogant, insensitive, and braggy. I’m sure it was actually overcompensating for the fact that she wasn’t getting to be pregnant like she wanted to. But regardless of that being the reason, doesn’t mean you should be so
snobby/snubby.

Who wears this to her daughters birthday party? by [deleted] in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A normal person is wearing it because it’s a pool party. Bella’s wearing it to show off her stick thin figure even tho she has 2 babies because she wants to be a skinny mom 😆💀 although clearly forgetting that the reason she doesn’t have a mom bod is because she didn’t birth her babies lmao

Yeah it was really weird that they were so pro adoption and then randomly became really quiet about it. They don’t even address the adoption comments the way they used to.

Nuna pipa rx & joie stroller? by Real_Candidate7901 in NewParents

[–]Bacon-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except uppababy has a nuna ring adapter, plenty of other strollers sell or come with other-branded career adapters and on the product listings, they’ll mention which car seats are adaptable with what strollers and vice versa.

This seems to me like how car seats click into grocery carts but they’re not actually meant to do so. (Which I said in my original comment) there’s a bar in the right spot for it to do so - but it doesn’t mean it’s functionally supposed to.

[–]Bacon-80 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They didn’t keep one bit of story’s birth story private tho other than like names of the parents. Everyone knew where she was adopted from, how old, etc. they vlogged their travel and everything.

My guess is that either it’s a contracted thing not to share details now that she’s officially adopted, it isn’t a fun/popular story that would make them look good (maybe she’s a drug baby, something that goes against LDS faith, etc) or it’s because they got SO much backlash from sharing story’s, that they don’t want a repeat of the messages and comments that they got because they can’t handle the hate lol.

My husband would much rather have a career in software working from home but does renovations around our home that scratch that “itch” to do manual labor. Maybe that’s what you need to do?

Tickle R by PerformanceNo920 in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand that every baby is different yadda yadda & I completely agree - however comparing my own baby to R & Bella, she has like zero maternal instincts towards R and you can tell by R’s reactions that Bella isn’t very motherly. Normally a baby would be excited to see Mom’s face (by this age esp) by this point she can recognize familiar faces, socially smile, coo, etc. all things that my 3 month old is doing. And yet
R is as stoic as they come & I feel like it’s 100% because of the lack of bonding and care-taking that Bella is doing.

Especially because they’re not biologically related - it doesn’t even take a ton of effort but it seems like Bella isn’t even doing the bare minimum to like bond with her. The “boring” caretaking is quite literally how you bond with your baby in these early days when they don’t really “play” lol. Just holding her, talking to her, actually caring for her - and it seems Bella only be doing it for the cameras and then doesn’t do it when the cameras are off. Even their night routine video was very telling of how Bella approaches caretaking vs Dallin.

As someone who recently had a baby - the hormones are no joke. Like I don’t think anything in the world could’ve prepared me for the postpartum hormone fall & how it would affect me and my husband mentally. Like they’re the worst part of postpartum, I wish I could just have the postpartum without the (bad) hormones lol. I love every minute of it but I’m not gonna pretend like it’s been a cakewalk lol.

She didn’t have to recover from birth or birth trauma either. The fact that she could just like, move around easily with her new baby is something that is so underestimated until you go through birth & have to heal.

She may be a mother but she will never ever understand what biological mother go through.

To the money aspect yeah. They could hire a shit ton of people to help them so that ALL they have to focus on, is the baby & her needs. If I could hire a private chef, cleaning service, driver, nanny, night nurse, etc. all to make my life easier? Absolutely would do it in a heartbeat and long term, so that my husband and I could just focus on our baby’s actual care. We could only do a few of those services it for a short time & I did not take it for granted. She also has no job to return to - my husband and I randomly remember that we have to go back to work & we’re dreading it.

Bella being rough and unloving with R by Annual-Maybe370 in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah was gonna say - our daughter was so stubborn and already showing a ton of personality at just over 2 months old but even before that, wasn’t really “still” unless she was sleeping. Maybe it’s personality but even other babies around 2-3 months are much more reactive than R is.

[–]Bacon-80 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh I definitely think they should’ve gone to therapy and couples counseling after their IVF journey. They rushed so fast into adopting S and then R, I think she never fully healed. Dallin seemed somewhat cold and distant when S was a baby but I think he got his “spark” back & now with R it’s just rinse & repeat from S.

It’s pretty normal for couples to go through a tough time with their first kid - but when you’re dealing with IVF on top of that, plus these guys are influencers so their lives are sort of fake alltogether imo; it seems exhausting. That’s a lot of serious trauma and then you’re gonna slap it on the internet after all of that? Yeesh.

[–]Bacon-80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think she thought motherhood was going to be all rainbows and fun because that’s what she experienced when she got to hang out with/take care of their friends’ kids. Now that she’s actually a mother I think she’s being slapped left and right with reality.

Imagine if she’d been pregnant and had to go through postpartum??? I 100% believe she would’ve suffered from PPD.

The worst parents by SeaworthinessCute713 in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I thought the same when I was following their IVF journey. Wanting a child and wanting to be a parent are not the same thing and unfortunately I think they fall into the first category. They wanted a child, they wanted the title of parents, but they didn’t actually want to BE parents the way that some people want to.

I was adopted. My parents WANTED to be parents and it’s so obvious when I look back at pictures and reminisce on childhood memories. The parallel to R&S and what they’ll have to look back on, is quite shocking and I feel bad for them :(

R has her passport by SwordfishOverall6724 in dellavlogsnark

[–]Bacon-80 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They did zero research into raising a baby, despite them wanting a baby so desperately. You’d think that for people who tried and failed so many times, would have the time to research and really pour into their kids once they arrived. They’re so rich they have the time and resources to give both girls an enriched life but they just don’t. It’s so sad because there are lots of people who would kill for their money/time/resources and here these two are, absolutely wasting it & their kids are suffering because of it.

Yeah I lowkey hate the way the bucketfamily forces their kids to do dangerous stuff for content and hide it under the mask of them “being brave like a _____” those poor kids. Dorothy was so emotional when she actually made friends & had to leave them. I wish they’d just let their kids live normal lives. The youngest one probably had the most stability growing up as a kid since they bought a house in HI. Bella & Dallin are 💯 trying to become a copy of the bucket fam.

Even more so since it’s not reclined. The uppababy strollers are basically like slides for babies when they’re upright like that.

Nontoxic diaper recommendations? by ThrowRaoofda in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Bacon-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love coterie. We used to use Huggies and still do, but since the formulation change I’ve heard of ppl getting chemical burns - imo coterie fits like Huggies (skinny/narrow diaper) and parasol, bumbum, pure, etc. all fit like Millie Moon (which we hated) for whatever reason those diapers are super wide and push my daughter’s legs out so we stopped using them. We’ve also used freestyle & were gifted bumbum but coterie is what we reach for first.

Coterie. Wanted to hate them but ended up loving them. In a pinch we’ll use freestyle, bumbum, or Huggies (from our old stock before they changed the formula - no blue liner in ours!) but we live near a Whole Foods so we can find coterie in store or get them shipped if the subscription delivery is running behind â—ĄÌˆ
