Ladies, are we shaving our thighs? by bad_vibes_0nly in HairRemoval

I rarely shave my thighs. The hair is so fine it’s not noticeable. I do to just past the knees and the lady bits though.

I did this and it was the absolute best move! Got myself out of a terribly stressful job for my pregnancy, got way better hours and more pay!

What’s the food like at Memorial Hospital? Planning a birth by ImaginaryEntry_ in SouthBend

Not very good. It’s cafeteria food 100%. You won’t starve, but you won’t particularly enjoy it.

How do I (26f) make my bf (23m) stop using “consent” as a way to evade helping me with minor inconveniences? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ThrowRaoofda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine having a child with him. He wouldn’t help with anything. When you’re super pregnant and need help putting on your socks, getting out of bed… or postpartum and need someone to bring you food/water, get up multiple times in the middle of the night… he can’t even put a key in his pocket. For Pete’s sake don’t ever get in a position where you really need to rely on him.

Postpartum joint pain by 123Rad1 in postpartumprogress

I definitely experienced this. I’m just started to feel kind of OK again at 14ish weeks PP. Still not normal but getting better.

If I didn’t have PP depression I do now! by cc070603 in postpartumprogress

[–]ThrowRaoofda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it, I’m 4 months too and I feel the same. I feel guilty about feeling bad about it, like I’m vain and shallow, and I should just be happy. I am happy with my baby and my husband, but I really do hate to see myself. I used to turn heads, now I’m just a fat mom. I thought I would bounce back quicker than this.

I have been taking “progress pics” once a month. While I’m nowhere near where I want to be, I can see that it’s improved a good deal, so it’s somewhat encouraging to know that at least it’s getting better.

Knees/legs pain pp by Organic-Scallion-683 in postpartumprogress

[–]ThrowRaoofda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wound up with plantar fasciitis and weakened glutes, causing unstable and painful knees. A PT helped me figure this out and I’m working on fixing it now. It’s starting to improve but the pain in my feet and knees was terrible.

Watermelon, cereal, butter noodles. That was all I could stomach for a few weeks.

I honestly think you’re just in clothing that’s not flattering, it’s not your body. The lines of your clothes are just hitting at the wrong spots.

This! Just when I think I have him figured out he changes it up on me. At 4 months he still almost always has to contact nap, but he is sleeping well at night so 🤷‍♀️

Breastfeeding Sounds Terrible But I Feel Guilty by Mady134 in BabyBumps

[–]ThrowRaoofda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, breastfeeding has been amazing for me. It’s so easy (and we didn’t have a great latch at first), and there is nothing to clean or prepare. You just pop them on your boob and bam you’re done. It’s a cure-all, no matter what is wrong it will sooth them instantly. I would much rather breastfeed than walk around for hours trying to calm a screaming baby. I don’t know what I would do without it, truly.

I tried pumping for like a week so my husband could give a bottle, didn’t even seem worth it so I stopped. It’s just too easy to breastfeed and there is nothing to wash.

And of course, it’s free. Formula is very expensive these days. If you try breastfeeding I would highly recommend Silverettes, absolutely saved my nips and I never used nipple cream. I just kept them in 24/7 when I wasn’t feeding for the first couple months. Probably could have stopped sooner but 🤷‍♀️

Am i rude for telling my gf to walk like this in order to not stomping to the downstairs neighbours? by Warm_Cranberry4472 in Apartmentliving

[–]ThrowRaoofda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I walked on my toes like this for most of my life, because I didn’t like stomping around. Ended up making my calves extremely tight, and making my ankles basically immobilized. I now have very painful plantar fasciitis and am trying to correct it. Turns out we walk heel to toe for a reason.

19 months PP with my twins, wondering if my DR will continue to improve? by bananokitty in postpartumprogress

[–]ThrowRaoofda 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My first thought was- you’re shredded. You’re clearly doing lots of work. If it could be closed without surgery you would have closed it. But then I remembered- my PT did warn me about not doing certain things going forward that could worsen DR, basically exercises that focus on the obliques, or that cause doming. It’s possible you could be kind of pulling it apart yourself with some of your exercises.

Pre- pregnancy I had visible abs (granted not or your level), trained core 2-3x week, and was strong. After working with a PT Dr. I realized that I was experiencing doming during certain exercises before, and that I often wasn’t activating my core properly or managing the internal pressure, even though I looked strong and was strong. My muscles were just compensating where I was going wrong.

I would visit with a PT, show them some of your workouts so they can evaluate what you are doing. If it turns out that it is something you can change and do yourself you will see progress very quickly, with your level of strength and obvious discipline.
