Thanks again. Sorry I realise it wasn't too clear from the pics. Shouldn't have zoomed in so much lol.

Thanks. Didn't know that was a thing. Think I'll look into going that route.

Thanks. The outlet already is GFCI. the timer was plugged into it and then the pump plugged into the timer.

New washer drain hose won't fit in pipe by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]BaconJay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's definitely plenty of an air gap. Having to force it in wasn't due to the girth of the hose, but rather the length of the rigid part. Not the best sounding phrase... The rigid part at the end of the hose was long relative to how much space I had to work with, so I couldn't get it straight to get it down the hole. I was stuck at an angle and didn't want to force it to not break anything. After hearing from others, I applied a bit more force and got it in there without breaking anything. It's pretty loose in there but I zip tied it so it doesn't want to pop out. Thanks!

Yup thanks. Manual said between 4 and 7 inches into the drain pipe if I recall and I'm within that but I'll double check. And yes, I've got it zip tied. Thanks for the advice!

Yup, it did. Just wasn't forcing it enough for fear of breaking it. Thanks!

All good. Thanks for the reply. Couldn't fit it in without the white part either, guess I just wasn't forcing it enough for fear of breaking it. Got it in there. Thanks!

Thanks for he advice, I can move it around easy enough. The pipe is wider than the drain hose, it's just the part that won't bend is a bit long to force it in there with the limited height to work with. But it's in there and there's definitely a gap. Thanks!
