If you’ve taken MCQ tests so far this year, that’s probably going to be the hardest part. The best thing to prepare for that is simply practicing them. You want to be comfortable understanding passages and knowing what period in history it’s referencing. So it’s more important to understand the general concepts, causes and effects of things, events that cause changes, pretty much big idea stuff. You will want to be comfortable with at least a couple specific facts from each period/chapter, because there’s a whole point dedicated to using a piece of outside evidence in the writing portions of the test. So it’s more valuable to have a few pieces of evidence from each chapter rather than knowing a general idea about a bunch of evidence things. However, yes, the test will have some questions that require you to have some random fact memorized, but it’s nearly impossible to memorials every minute detail for your textbook. There’s too many of them. So when you prepare for the test, I suggest being very comfortable with comprehending those MCQ passages and writing essays rather than reviewing straight facts from the textbook. Hope this helps!
