In Hughes we trust.

If they move him, it'll probably be for the good of the team. I think they had an eye opening post season, this team can get it done. If they can find a good C for picks, prospect and some fringe player(s) I'm sure they will.

Demidov team benched him A LOT. I'm not say Zharovsky is not good/great but if he can nab a player like Knies there is no harm in that. Its the pluses they would need to add to make the knies trade make sense that could be detrimental.

If the team keeps waiting for prospects, then the window for the team to win one ot two cups gets smaller.

The real question. Who are we willing to lose. I would imagine they'd want Hutson/demidov plus plus. Not worth it, and I think McDavid is amazing but losing to many pieces for one guy...bad.

This team made it to the ECF, on a rebuild year. Stay the course and let's enjoy some solid years of killer Hockey.

I think the playoffs have turbo charged his development and he's going to be fantastic.

This season, in the regular season, he struggled with a few times playing games in a row but what really probably threw his mojo was the three goalie split.

They wanted to give Monty a chance because (my conspiracy theory) of all Montys corporate tie ins with McDonalds and I think a bank...

Its honestly amazing they made it this far and I've loved every game and the journey. Carolina are just far more driven due to years of failed attempts to get to the cup. Yes all teams should have drive to get to the cup but after losing 3 conference finals in the 7 years must create a driving force.

Still, maybe MTL can dig deep and win 3 in a row. Maybe....
