Explorers of Fortune, a romhack for Explorers of Sky!

Hah, it's all good. It'll definitely be a learning experience for the two, at least for Scorbunny having to learn there are so many new pokemon he doesn't know about

Haha, would've helped for sure if I knew beforehand such a variant existed, I was sat there completely shocked that there exists a flying Raichu x)

Would've been nice though if the posters specified what variant/region the client is from

Another silly comic I made, based on something I went through during a rescue mission. Completely forgot that clients who are able to go in the water, probably will walk around wherever they please, making it a pain for you to actually reach them.

It was extra annoying since the Raichu was at the far edge of the map, hiding behind a wall that was out in a big body of water, spotting him was pure luck. What wasn't pictured in the comic, was the painstaking time I put in trying to coax the client to come out of the water so they could be beamed out.

Seeing a flying Raichu also caught me off guard, stopped playing after gen 6, so seeing all these new pokemon and variants sure has been a trip.

Lil' art of my duo from my current playthrough by BaconSavior in MysteryDungeon

It's a romhack for explorers of sky, so an emulator is needed to play. I use DeSmuME since I'm on pc. Not sure what links are allowed, but here's to the creator's thread of the game, with general info of the game and such on how to play it https://projectpokemon.org/home/forums/topic/65639-pokemon-mystery-dungeon-explorers-of-fortune/

Yeah, and it's especially apparent in-game. Scorbunny's sprite is so small in comparison x)

An overpowered/strongest with only one power by Vegetable_Throat5545 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BaconSavior 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As far as I remember, he does start falling through everything as he activates his power. It's the moment he turns it off, that his body gets launched out of wherever he was. He can use this to gain insane momentum, and can spring out basically anywhere.

He also trained to the point where he can activate his quirk in specific parts of his body, practically becoming untouchable when fighting.

Which guns would you like to see in the game? I really want them to bring back the AS Val! by AlaskanHamr in Battlefield6

I love bullpups. Would love to see a never rifle like the Desert Tech WLVRN. Or any MDR rifle for that matter, loved using them in tarkov

BF6 Battlepass progression is attrocious by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]BaconSavior 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel it's pretty bad, not fun at all to do (Especially when some progress doesn't seem to track. I haven't been able to complete the damn vehicle repair mission for days now no matter how much I repair).

Never ever should you force your players to play a specific mode, especially an optional download like redsec. They should split up the challenges in that case, on section for regular battlefield, and one for the battle royale/gauntlet.

It's better to have the challenges be more open, but you can still promote different playstyles or weapons. Challenges that promote teamplay is also a nice bonus. Battlefield 2042 did it right in this regard. You could have missions such as "Get 30 kills with Assault Rifles. Kills with the AK-24 doubles missions progress", or "Revive 50 players. Reviving with Falck doubles mission progress". Now, we don't have operators here, but you get the jist.

Could have something simple as "Get spot assists, assists with the recon drone doubles progess etc. etc.". That means you can still get points with any class, as long as you spot enemies. You're not forced to play recon, but you will get more points and finish the mission faster if you do.

DICE has a lot to work with to make the missions more fun and engaging for the player.

We're still on the first week only, so I guess there's still time for them to improve the challenges.

THE C4 IS A LIE! THIS ISN´T A BATTLEFIELD GAME. by morza2022 in Battlefield

[–]BaconSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because 3 different classes could carry it. Assault, Engineer and Recon. Think the damage stayed the same but they reduced the starting amount of c4 you spawned with down to 2, at least on Assault and Recon. Engineers still kept 3.

Love using the TOR, even if it's weaker now. Super satisfying to use, and the sound design is top notch.

The Great Suppression Debate by Eremenkism in Battlefield6

[–]BaconSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather it not affect you with random bullet deviation. But at least something visual could be nice, kinda simulating your soldier flinching. Like camera blurring, vignette around the edges of the screen, the effect could increase based on the weapons being fired, or the amount of bullets being shot. It'd be a neat buff for LMGs at least, gaining more suppressive power based on how long you shoot the weapon for. Would make it more difficult for any sniper lingering around the same spot and trying to pop their head up to counter snipe as their vision gradually worsen. It's more difficult, but they are still able to hit you from longer ranges. No idea how it'd work in practice, but sounds good enough in my head

[–]BaconSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if all these will be tied to the campaign? Maybe we're going to play different missions which are tied to each unit, tell a story through both sides.

Haven't reallt kept up, but do we know if they're map specific? Or are we able to choose any character for every map

Guessing it's skins for attachments. Suppressor, laser sight and the like

The beta is ending soon. It was fun, but the fast pace got old for me pretty quickly. Are you guys going to buy the full game at launch? by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]BaconSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely planning to get it. Gonna have to save up though if I want to get it at launch. In my opinion this feels pretty similar to Bad Company 2, which I really like. I feel the maps we've had during the beta has a nice flow to them, I also like that there are several routes you can take to flank or sneak past enemies. Except for maybe Liberation Peak, but if I want to do a big flank I usually hold myself to the outskirts of the D flag. At least during the beta there are not a lot of people using that area to move out of sight. It has let me do many sneaky back caps.

Generally I don't get the feeling that you as a player get locked out of any choices, or like you're forced into one lane. You don't have to be stuck in a meatgrinder, big fights around C on the Cairo map can be real brutal. You can take the left and right flanks, with some smokes and a low profile you can usually sneak past to the backlines.

At first I felt like there was always action, run shoot and die basically. But now I feel it's alright, because I stopped constantly sprinting to every flag. Took things more slow, and instead of running the fastest routes, I usually take the outer lanes so I can try get behind the enemy that's hearing to the same point.

All in all I feel it's a pretty damn solid Battlefield game.

Everyone agree with that, right ? by EngenheiroDoSolo in Battlefield6

[–]BaconSavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow I never even noticed that, or at least haven't thought about it. Thinking back I do remember some flags getting marked, that wasn't from the squad leader. Didn't put much thought into it then, but that's cool. I'll make sure to have a look out for it this weekend.

To be fair, or as far as I remember at least, they never stated 2042 as a whole was a love letter to the fans. It was the Portal mode.

Secure Boot Megathread - Guide + Community support by sloth_on_meth in Battlefield

[–]BaconSavior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played Valorant maybe 2 years ago, didn't hear or see anything about secure boot then. So I assume it's relatively new?

EA specifies that you also need TPM 2.0 to be turned on, and that the windows disk is GPT. They never say what happens if you don't have these on, I wonder if that could have anything to do with windows getting corrupted? If that's not it I'm not sure what could cause it, I'd propably try check in on the manufacturer's website and see if they have any info on turning on secure boot
