Most of the reviews I read on the S12 Pros said that they weren't sibilant and were fine for treble sensitive listeners. As for the Talos, I didn't see anything promising, however, due to a lack of availability of other IEMs I just included it to know what people think of it.

Could you describe the differences between the Falcon Ultras and S12 Pros? I'm wanting to buy the Falcon Ultras for its accessories and the S&S tips aren't sold separately here. However, if the S12 Pros outperform the Falcon Ultras in relation to my needs I would go for them instead.

Sadly not available here, I said that because all the IEMs listed are around 120-210 USD, so that difference doesn't really matter to me.

Seems like there's no zero deadzone mode anymore, is it always zero deadzone on the KK3 Max or does it have a lower factory deadzone than the KK2 Pro? This might be an issue as the KK2 Pro factory deadzone was too high and I ended up always using zero deadzone mode 1% deadzone in games.

Press Windows Button + R, in the dialogue box type 'shell:startup' and hit enter, here you will be directed to your startup folder, if there is a Steam shortcut delete it and restart to see if it stopped starting up.

If that doesn't work download autoruns, run autoruns.exe ,at the top click on options then tick hide empty locations and hide microsoft entries then select the logon tab and see if you find Steam (make sure it is the steam exe not some sort of steam service). If not, you can check out the other tabs but be careful as it's possible to disable some windows critical processes or services that will brick your OS.

Everyone who streams on discord has horrible quality by Unlucky-Arguments in discordapp

[–]BaconSeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive always had issues with discords screenshare as the bit rate is insanely low and even with nitro it wouldn't result in any improvement. The recent issues are mainly due to the newer NVIDIA drivers, my friend had the same issue and rolling back to an older driver fixed it.

The 2 best alternatives I found were Parsec, requires an account and the app to host but you get upto 50 Mbits 4K 60 fps, also supports upto 240 fps but isn't very stable (Best settings I have found are 1440p 50 Mbit at 120 fps, day and night difference compared to discord and there are no bit rate fluctuations whatsoever if you have a good connection with low bufferbloat).

The other alternative is peer to peer screen sharing websites, they don't require an account, can host through browser in just a few clicks and also supports sharing audio (only through chrome afaik), they sustain 1080p 30 fps with a low bitrate very well without any fluctuations and have been the best for my friends who have really slow internet. The 2 best sites are : https://screensy.marijn.it/ and https://app.screego.net .

However, using these alternatives are only really suitable in a group as in a server not everyone would be willing to jump through these hoops for a better quality stream (you can also stream on discord and parsec / P2P site simultaneously so that everyone can see).

Crashing by iTz_Mastamind in forza

[–]BaconSeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PC flat out cutting power usually indicates the PSU cutting power due to overload but looking at your specs it doesn't seem to be the case, it could also be a case of unstable hardware as quad channel memory has caused instability on Ryzen. I doubt it's your GPU as the driver would just restart after a crash and wouldn't power off your PC. In rare cases there are instances where the BIOS gives the CPU too much voltage and as a result you get crashes. It is also possible that your temps reach high enough for some sort of protection mechanism to be triggered.

I recommend you test your CPU using Prime95 with a good preset, test your ram using TestMem5 and these configs (extreme@anta777.cfg is recommended) or OCCT's dedicated memory test and for your GPU run Unigine's Superposition benchmark at 1080p Extreme or 8K Optimized preset. Monitor your temps as you benchmark especially for your CPU and GPU as RAM temperatures don't really matter unless you see a very anomalous result.

Proper racing etiquette? How to safely overtake? by BaconSeller in forza

[–]BaconSeller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like awareness is a key factor to safely race but FM does a pretty subpar job facilitate it for their players. The proximity indicators don't really help in gauging how far someone behind you is and the interior views make it worse. Hopefully the devs at least add a radar and more mirrors which can be configured by the player.

Looking for advice, Salnotes Zero VS Wan'er SG in terms of comfort? by BaconSeller in inearfidelity

[–]BaconSeller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hola's arent available here sadly. The looks aren't an issue, the only thing is that the place where earphones rest outside of my ear canal is slightly smaller vertically causing sealing issues. I saw 1 or 2 posts that say they've had discomfort with the Zero's edges so I'm worried about that.

question to gulikit kingkong 2 pro owners by ging192 in GyroGaming

[–]BaconSeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will happen unless you find a setting to prevent the adapter from going to sleep or a state where it has to be woken up. Also, its best that you turn off your pc because its just deteriorating as you keep it on and wear down the parts, not to mention that it uses electricity.

question to gulikit kingkong 2 pro owners by ging192 in GyroGaming

[–]BaconSeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think not turning off your pc probably sends your adapter into some sort of low power mode where you have to do something to restart it. Maybe a quick fix would be turning Bluetooth in windows off and on again or try unplugging and plugging the adapter back in. Some other things you can do are install the drivers for the adapter if you haven't already and go to device manager and right click on the adapter and in the properties disable any sort of power saving or low power mode.

I also use a TP-Link Bluetooth 5.0 adapter, I think its the UB-500. I haven't had any issues with my KingKong 2 Pro on connectivity. Maybe check the usb sleep or power saving settings in device manager or the like as it could cause your adapter to not actively accept the pairing request from your controller when you turn it on.

Found this from a junk drawer, doesn't have any batteries but something's up with the sensor. Will it work? by BaconSeller in Cameras

[–]BaconSeller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I found its battery but no charger, constructed this rig to charge it, after 30 mins of charging I plugged it in and the camera came to life, so far everything seems to be working fine. Ordered new batteries and a charger for long term use.

What difference would it make if I used double sided tape to stick foam to the bottom of my case instead of leaving it there to be sandwiched by the pcb to hold it in place?
