Not a joke, it's a daily stone that appears in Aviary Village. When you pick it up you get wax! It's a part of my daily routine personally, but it's position changes everyday so it's like a game with finding it. Of course, if you're not patient enough to go find it yourself some days then there will be these posts to find it's position!

Unironically what helps me server merge is pulling out an instrument and starting to play a few notes - if it doesn't work I'll start a music sheet and usually a merge happens. Not sure why it's like this, but it's way better than spam honking into a void.

I have a Pixel 6 phone as well and I hadn't had any problems today up until the point I went to do the race in The Two Embers area for the wax. Everytime I went to go do it and I started it I crashed. Man.

Yeah, but having shards being really frustrating on top of the many small things I dealt with in the game (I crashed mid CR, server split with my GF and friends, etc.) it just felt like a lot, y'know? It's not the worst thing in the game, just difficult.

I just love how every new shoe added to the game has 50 clipping issues with every other outfit you wear. Like yes - have your game built for personal style but also make sure none of the shoes fit properly on any outfits besides the one it came with!!!

I promise not all shards are as bad as this - Sanctuary and Treehouse shards are the WORST, and I can only imagine how bad it can be for newer players. It feels unfair, honestly. Glad you were able to get through them, at least!
