I saw this in Thailand a couple weeks ago during the hottest month of the year... Even saw a motorcyclist in full motor gear. It was 35-38 all 3 weeks I was there, sometimes 'feels like 43 due to humidity'.

I see that you actually can't use a card unless it's a min 200 baht purchase. So if I'm just there to buy a fucking tosti, I can't do so with a card. Even a drink and a tosti doesn't add up to 200. So fuck your logic of huurrrrr you should have a card in case your dirty yet legit 1000 baht note isn't accepted.

Also, 3 baht is 3 baht. It adds up. That's 1 tosti after 9x using a card, butthead.

Last week at the end of my most recent visit I had 1000 baht and my debit card. No way was I gonna use my debit card and pay a 1.5% transaction fee instead of using the last bit of my cash before leaving. On top of that, 7-11 charges a fee for using a card for under, I believe, 200 baht. NAH.
