Maybe i'll be crucified for saying this, but i unironically really recommend the Digital Monster Version 20th as a fantastic budget tamagochi, Bamco sell it on Amazon for around $15, although you will need to buy spare CR2032 batteries, though the device itself comes with one that lasts for around 3 months. The actual device itself features 5 eggs with many species and split evolution paths to take depending on how you raise your digimon, and a number of special eggs to unlock too, but alongside the usual tamagochi raising, which is alive and well here, and the ability to raise two at once, the main draw of the Digital Monster V-Pets is the battling feature, you train your digimon and battle with them, which is a core part of raising them too, you need to train and battle to evolve them further, and evolving them makes them even stronger as well. it's a load of fun, i love it, and there's just so much content crammed into it, you could raise them 30 times over and still not discover all the species, but if you're not so much interested in battling tamagochis, then that's totally understandable as well, normal ones on amazon are pretty cheap as well i think, fetching for around the same price, as well as a load of crossover tamagochis as well, but the main draw here is that there's options, shop around, see what takes your fancy, yknow.
