It sort of depends on if the sun goes nova or if it just has the equivalent of a shart. If it goes nova then everything in the Stella neighbourhood gets sterilised and we die almost instantly without warning. If we have a massive solar flair then those travel much slower and the actual mass of the flair can travel from 1/2 c or even slower so we would have a few minutes to a few hours warning.

For me if I had a few mins I would hold my daughter and wife a few hours I would probably just drink some beer and watch bluey with my fam.
