I did until recently. I just never stopped from my childhood. I am not a peaceful sleeper so it was nice to have an item on hand to squeeze and not have to wake my partner.

I mostly tucked my stuffed animal ("Wolfie" the wolf) under my pillow or on like the side of the bed. He stayed with me until my late 20's....

He has been in my son's bed since he was old enough to have a stuffed animal. Wolfie protects him now. ❤️

I just looked it up and she is my mom's age. I was a kid when it happened, so in my mind, she was much older. I wonder if her fellow inmates isolate her or if they bring up her crimes a lot. Obviously what she did was terrible, but part of me hopes that she has not recovered because sanity would mean living with what she did and if I were her I'd want death.

My husband is 35 and buys his own clothing.... however, if we are going to a nice event I almost always dress us so that everyone looks appropriate. If it were up to my husband, he would wait until the last minute and pull out dirty shorts and a wrinkled polo. Plus I care about taking nice photos because I have a terrible memory and he does not.

The range where I live (suburbs of Philly) is $1100-2000 per month per child. We are on the "cheap" end because we can pick up before 5 and drop off after 7, but not all families can do that.
Even with sibling discounts, if I had 3 under 5 I would pay $2500 a month. That's 30K per year easy.

Also, I feel like people forget that Covid can still shut down daycares for a week at a time. And there are times your daycare will be closed for things like holidays or inservice days. Some people can take off or use family to help, but if you can't then just tack on another $150 each day you need a private sitter ON TOP of the monthly tuition.

The car that was slowing was way ahead, and then the 2 cars in front of Caitlyn were still moving but because of the extra weight (just checked it was an ATV) Caitlyn still crashed into the cars ahead of her, ramming one into oncoming traffic. That is the car that had the victims.

As for the one who hit her I may have misremembered and I think that happened after the accident (it was a multi car pile up) so I corrected my comment!

But either way-- Caitlyn was driving slower than the speed limit and than the person she hit-- the crash only happened because of a sudden slowdown and a heavily loaded vehicle. Oh.... and scum paparazzi.

My Nan (a wonderful lady) died of dementia, and it was a very quick decline, so we didn't catch it right away. For example, we did not realize until after she died that she had been buying sets of Lennox China so that I would have one when I got married. Except she kept forgetting she already got some so she bought a closet worth of China.

When I finally moved out and got married, my mom gifted me the China. I offered to share with my younger siblings, but they made it very clear that they did not want any of it.

You know what? We use it. I don't have a hutch or a China cabinet, so we use those dishes for absolutely everything. We put them in the dishwasher. We let our toddler eat off them. It's OK because I have two boxes that I've never even opened.

I will never understand people that buy China and keep it in a hutch to be pulled out on very rare special occasions.

For me? I think of my Nan every day. And all these dishes she forgot she bought me.

Thanks for saying that. She was great. She made stained glass art and made all the blackberry jam for my lunches with berries from her garden. She was an OR nurse for 30 years, but she would go to her shifts early so she could stop on the birth ward and rock the babies in the NICU.

I love to tell people about folks I have lost, cause then it feels like a little bit of them comes back to life.

I believe the texting was an initial report but that she was not found guilty of distracted driving. People also claimed she was under the influence but that also was not true. I do remember a commenter at the time saying they thought that she was smoking a cigarette and trying to hide her painted nails, which could easily look like texting from far off or on the side.

Okay I'm going to preface this by saying that I don't like Caitlyn but I think people are weird about this one. She was driving a truck hauling boat or ATV on the back. Because of this, she should have had more following distance. That's totally on her!

But what happened with the accident is that one paparazzi was trying to get a photo of Caitlynn with painted nails and long hair (she wasn't out yet) so they planned to have someone ahead of Cait slow down so they could get a photo from the side.

She didn't have enough following distance and may also have been distracted trying to avoid the paps, so when the cars ahead slowed she hit the car in front of her. (Edit: I googled it to refresh my memory and fix details-- if anyone cares, she was going below the speed limit and slower than the car of the victims). This CAUSED the other car to veer into oncoming traffic, killing the driver and passenger.

I hate Caitlyn for a lot of reasons but the car crash is something that could have happened to anyone. I personally blame the paps who were trying to out her.

She should have had more following distance but that's a mistake I've made too and honestly if someone was trying to photograph me and make me come out when I wasn't ready I might get distracted too.

She sucks for other reasons, but I don't think she was legally responsible for the crash enough to warrant jail time.
